300 Lucent is nothing when blues/purples cost thousands and you need multiple of the same pieces--with the same traits--to upgrade each trait slot.

What you people fail to realize, though, is that Lucent isn't the limiting factor here. This dishonor belongs to the currency-gated/time-gated farm spots (co-op dungeons, open world dungeons, etc.) where the gear you need actually drops.

By the time you reach 50, you'll have accumulated something like 20-30k Abyssal Contract Tokens. You'll use up all of those within a couple days in OW dungeons and then be limited to around 1k a day if you're grinding co-op dungeons/resistance contracts.

Every bit of free tokens, easy gold and materials, and "fun" you're introduced to in the early game is yanked out from underneath you within a day of hitting 50. You're being baited. NCSOFT/AGS wants you in the cash shop buying Lucent--not in dungeons grinding gear.

So, enjoy your 300 or 10k Lucent, I guess, because your access to valuable gear is going to plummet when you have to spend a month farming ACTs to earn what you just blew through in two days.

Also, congrats if you got a boss item that 99.9% of players will probably never even see. It's well known and well established that boss drop rates are garbage. You're an outlier.

u can get everything that a paying player can have, plus u can make the real cash currency ingame by selling a special drop that u got (u are not gated compared to paying player, but someone who is willing to pay alot will be able to shortcut alot and get way stronger in 1 hour then u in 2 weeks.So if u want to compete in PVP its either paying alot of money so u can get to a high gearscore in like 20 min. Or u hope for the luck that a item drops wich u can sell for like 10k luzent, so u can buy and upgrade some of your gear. Or u have to grind the specific items many many hours for your GS to be able to compete with paying players. And gear is everything like in most ahhm i guess all mmos. GS 3k player can just push any button to kill a GS 1,6k XD
Its a fun game, i like it and it has alot of different content and a nice look, but it is the definition of pay to win. I wouldnt know how to deny this.

It is the time gated crap that kills me. I knew it was p2w going in but the ah is set up to where you can sell things for premium currency which I like. It is the time gated things like tokens that is ruining it for me tbh.

Pay-to-win mechanics are common in games that allow player trading because, even if it's not officially supported, black markets will always emerge where real cash transactions take place. However, what makes the pay-to-win model in Throne and Liberty particularly frustrating is how it limits your ability to farm. I believe they should remove the token system and allow players to farm as much as they want. This would be a fairer approach. Some players might want to make quick purchases, and that's fine, while others prefer to grind for hours. But the farming limitations take away the fun for those who enjoy the grind.

Last day i got a trash talent on my purple weekly reward and just turn it to litograph and sold it for 800+.
Got multiple way to get lucent but you are right you need luck to.

Ofc you can try cooking to get some small cash to above that there is the items only at the moment(materials on low cost to and not drop that offen).

That's the bait. It will get harder and harder when the market will be oversaturated with the "simple" items. Heard good drop is dps based on bosses so good luck getting those. Cooking is also pretty bad, good mats rarely drop and I mean very rare. So you can farm for the good mats for hours, competing with other players too and earn like 50 lucent if you are lucky, and only if the crafting is a "great success" because only those can be sold on auction house. Rng upon rng upon rng upon rng.

Who cares mmorpg always been p2w it just used to happen outside the game with PayPal. Now it’s properly done and every player have a chance even if it means more work.

On lineage you literally had 0 chance to compete so that’s an improvement here
