I am on the fence on playing on early access servers. Because while yes, the spenders will play there mostly. But you will also have those that serious about the game, most knowledgeable about the game, etc.
Regular servers will have the people that will play for couple weeks then quit soon as the end game grind shows up. or mechanics of dungeons get to hard, etc. In that sense early access servers MIGHT thrive better than the free to play servers.
Amazon will most likely activate servers prepared for the normal launch if many players decide spontaneously to buy early access on Sep 12.
Launch servers will be nice because there are "more" servers, fewer bots, fewer spenders, and players starting late.
The idea of "knowledgeable players vs new players" depends on the community. There will be good instructional and friendly guilds playing launch.
Therefore the launch servers will be okay.
Server merges will happen regardless and no body knows how that will play out.
I have mixed feeling about EA, cause some ppl already refund it, due to the change on date, cause they already settle down for 5 days off from work and they unable to change it now. Also question is what others already mentioned how many spender will move EA. Will be an issue for sure when u get a ton of nubs who refuse to watch 5 min youtube dg guide or refuse to read chat for advise on the mechanics. Language barrier should not be an issue, since TL have auto translate chat function in settings.
I guess time will tell the truth. We still dont know how many EA servers will there be, and how many non EA. What language will be the main lang on what server, and so on.
Why don't they introduce a player registration via ID for the guilds? This way, every guild member can register for the guild via ID before the start and the required capacities on the respective servers are left free. This was possible in Tarisland, for example. Personally, I would have liked it better if there had been no subdivision of the servers. Since everyone has the option to buy early access.
