Tier 2 is not catch up gear

I was under the impression that the free tier 2 gear was catch up gear... hell i was told that. Nope to upgrade it you need to have 3500 gs which its greatly traited t1 gear... so i still have to go through that time gated mess permanently will be behind. At least make 1 and 2 star dungeons stamina free to give new and returning players a way to catch up.

You get triple loot from 1 star and double from 2 star dungeons. That's some kind of catch up mechanic. You can trait up your gear much faster, which is very important for a better gear score. Artifacts give you about 200 more gear score with some random greens.

I do traits in getting common blue gear from open dungeons, open all traits with same item and different trait, fill them up to max, then level it to +9, and then transfer it to the purple gear (Tier 1). You will have a +6 purple gear with plus 2 free traits with blessings, and you haven't used any purple crafting stones yet.

Tier 2 blues are like 1/3 trait compared to a Tier 1 purple one.

If you want to "catch up" you're going to be buying at least a thousand dollars worth of lucent. There is now such an incredible spread between the resources you need and what is available.

Don't scoff at the free t2 rares, though. You can try out different weapons and have a little more fun along the way.

So it's a 3:500 lock out, thank you for letting me know. I could not "transfer" my free set of T2 gear into the new T2 Purples I was getting and I didn't know why. That really helps a lot, thank you!

Well, you can catch up in pve sure, with time.

but for PVP "YOU WILL NEVER CATCH UP" :D

We have a guy that just joined a week ago. He's been grinding pretty hard, is F2P and is already got setup into a 2 piece T2 Epic +weapons. Good artifacts, mid runes (nothing you can do about it). 4800GS. Not amazing in the grand scheme, but for 1 weeks progress, it's pretty solid. Lot of people complaining about not being handed the keys to be competitive on the high end, you gotta work for it. And all these people talking about swiping 1000 dollars as the only way to advance are just coping with their failure.

Oh, yeah, the alt I got lucky and got the T2 gear score on is almost to where it needs to be to transfer up. SO MUCH faster than getting to the 4.5K of my main... Now that was a grind LOL! But a fun one! I've loved my time in throne and liberty! Much love all!

Blue Tier 2 is actually a joke but a good way to make luccent for a short time.

The fact you can swipe is the gripe. You either grind your butt off or pay. The fact that people defend pay to win is baffling but the devs are sure eating it up. The entire system is designed around the auction. Thats why everything is time gated in hopes that people break down and buy the upgrades.
