Quit Throne and Liberty 2 weeks ago or so, p2w has drained me

The fact i can't play the game, without worrying about new content that comes out in the future, where I can't afford to keep up with everyone else. Soon as I get where I am on everyone else's level, new content comes out, and now i have to fork out money i don't have in order to continue playing. I noticed a huge drop it many friends and players in the game in general that quit, and it's mainly because its P2W. The game is beautiful, looks absolutely amazing, the game is so much fun, but the top guilds, will always be at the top because they are willing to spend thousands of dollars on their characters, even though skill-wise they may be below me, this allows them to be able to dominate me no matter what because they ring up their moms credit card or have the ability to afford to pay thousands of dollars just to play. This is a disgusting concept of any video game. I'll be sure to be more aware of this in the future. I'd be happy to spend $200 just to play the game , or $200 per year , where its like $20 or so a month to play, but not feeling obligated every single time i'm logging in or get a paycheck to spend money. It's absolutely wrong, and should be against every single real gamer's morals. If this is what the world is coming to via gaming, I guess i'll just quit games in general. The greed of these companies is absurd. I really do love the games mechanics, the pvp, the pve, the guild bonds and friendships you make along the way. If you are no longer able to afford to keep up, then those friends and guild members no longer see you as an asset and no longer need you. That is something nobody should have to go through over money. It's like only the rich kids being friends with other spoiled rich kids or poor kids paying money they dont have, just to fit in with the "cool" rich kids. Change this and i'll happily continue playing this game, otherwise I'm going to officially uninstall pretty soon here. Thanks for the fun times though! Appreciate the good times. bye bye

As a REAL F2P with 4200 main and a 4100 alt with one archboss weapon with around 45k Lucent stash. There is nothing to worry about PVE related content...

Looking at current PvE-related stuff... 1600 and 2500. Everyone can get there. Now if you are highly competitive f2p.... and don't have time then yeah time to move on.

Sounds like some hardcore fomo which is exactly why you posted a 2 paragraph love note as to you quitting the game. Because you really dont want to. I dont know why you compare yourself to other players so much. Secondly, its already been proven that being f2p you can pretty much keep up with the whales minus a little time gate.

Yes whales can buy the new stuff right away but not long after can people be right there with them. So the problem is your fomo with wanting to be the best.

Enless you are going for top 100 pvp players or in a sweaty pvp guild then you have nothing to worry about p2w. Play the game at your own pace. Kinda scary to imagine people like you cant control there own mindset on a game and are influenced by these things.

I promise you even if you get killed by whales in pvp. The majority of players you will fight will be regular players who dropped a normal amount of money into a game.

Lastly, I dropped 150 on this game. But yet my lucient sits at 13k even after I bought many skins/battle pass and leveling logs and even other shop items then skins. So technically I am positive 50 bucks since release. So I supported the game with 150 and still have 200 worth of lucient.

So at the end of the day. The whales will run the first release of new content but eventually the f2p player base has enough time to catch up and enjoy the same thing. You cant be the best pvp player and have all new gear like whales do because they literally spend thousands. Do you really wanna be that loser anyway who spends 5000 bucks and a few weeks later everyone else is just as strong? Its really not a big deal and you honestly dont even understand the fundamentals of this game I suppose.

True short and sweet to my paragraphs with the main takeaway if you are a highly competitive person f2p then the game may give you a hard time.

But this is only the first release of content until regular players catch up.
