epic to epic trait enchant blessings, please help!

So I have an epic level 0 set of bracers that I enchanted a trait up from level 1 to 2 with another epic item. Im just wondering why im not seeing any blessings added? Can someone please help explain this to me. ive done enough self testing, I would really appreciate some further insight. Thanks in advance =)

I was going to trait this item up further to add blessings to use at a later date since I have extra purple bracers. I just dont want to waste materials if this way doesnt work. Thanks again.

you cannot gain blessing from upgrading a trait, in order to gain blessing you either have to:
transfer a piece with traits into another piece.
put a lower quality (blue or green) into the trait and fail to upgrade the trait.
if you succesfully upgrade a trait you do not get any blessing

oh ok...so if I load up a purple braclet with max traits and xfer it into another purple braclet I will receive blessings?

if you max trait and transfer to another purple...you will retain the blessings
