Good game for being a pve healer?
Most mmos don't even have healers anymore really, but I read that this one does? Is it a good time with lots to do or does this game turn into primarily pvp at endgame?

As a healer, NO.

Why: Healer is the most fun role to play in this game. In my opinion its the most intense and satisfying role. But, and its a huuuuge but:

In order to get Best In Slot loot in this game you'll have to do world bosses.
As it is now, the drops depend on your damage contribution. hence, there's no reason to play healer. you will just get stuck with no gear.

They solved it by providing us the guilds distributions so even if you dropped the item, the guild decides who it will go to, which sounds bad at first but its actually nice. Still, it does not solve the problem. Not at all.
As for now, a huge part of the content is based on how much damage you deal compared to others so for healers this game is a no no.

The PVP aspect is really good, healer is fun anyway, but you WILL get to a point where you cant progress you gear as fast as others, and force you into spending money in order to use the market place.

So bottomline:

Healer in this game is very fun.
If you're going to spend money on this game, great for you.

If you're not going to spend money on this game, it will still be fun. very fun. but you will not get much progress, and at some point especially in pvp you will just fall behind and be unwanted compared to others.

Hope this helped <3

The PVE is easy you dont even need purple gear.
From what i heard from my guildies T2 will have more stuff to do currently T1 is very dry if u ask me.

Play Elder Scrolls Online if you want a good Healer experience.
Everything about this game feels boring, especially the power progression.

Last time I asked there they told me there's no point playing a healer in ESO 😂 I think the healer is cooked as a concept in modern mmos

The amount of micro management with the gear pieces to min max a healer is amazing in ESO.
There are tons of sets and pieces to customize the healers and the rest of the classes.
This is the only game where i feel like the healer is pretty well made in an MMO.
I made a Templar and it feels amazing, there's also the Warden.
I played mmo's since the early 2000's and only ESO felt right.
Where the holy trinity is well done and dependent on each other.

the tanks are trash to and have the same problem others have mentioned. This is a DPS game only. I am not sure why they made tank/healer options because the people who made them ruined their game experience. I made a new character, full cheese dps and the game is vastly a different feel.

Just keep mfers alive and remove their status effects like stun, slow, poison etc. That alone lets them focus on their own job and perform better. You don't excel at something, you excel at letting others do their thing confortably. Are they doing well? Then you did well too.

no - there is no "healer" or tank in this game, there are the roles but its about 90% your own responsibility to not stand in the stuff and the "support" kind of tops you up.

If your coming from wow or something similiar with priests and shammys this is not like that at all

I don't recommend it if ur focus is PvE and even less as healer, after the 1st 2-4 days low geared (so story and first open and instanced dungeons runs with green/low blue gear) healers aren't almost needed to run most of the dungeons or grind in PvE, a DPS Ranger can be sufficient with a heal to do all that when people is starting to get 1st epics and pump a little the gear, as i said after first 3-4 days playing. Most parties running dungs. are looking for TANK+5DDs or full DDs parties. So many healers have a pure DD build for PvE and then Healer one for PvP. Counting too that the PvE ain't one of the strong point of TL, there ain't much and cause that becomes repetitive quickly after ur 1st or 2nd week.

That is comically untrue. I switched from DPS to healer after sitting in lobby for a couple of hours the previous day exactly because 5 out of 10 lobbies wanted a healer in cave o slaughter. The other half wanted a tank.

Considering optimal play is pointless when the average player struggles

Nope, wrong P2W product to be tank and healer.

Okay well now who do I believe? What you're saying lines up with something I saw someone say on reddit, but what the other guy is saying sounds like every mmo in existence nowadays.

Heck no. DPS is the only role in this game.

..the AoE heal has long cooldown it's discouraging lol and it's supposed to be a QoL from doing single target heals too. This game doesnt make us healers' lives easy
