Cannot Transfer Blue to Purple Gear within same weapon class?

I tried transfer from my blue level 9 GS of resist to my newly obtained purple GS of resist and it says "no available item" detected or something similar?

Same thing happened with a bunch of green jewelry when I tried to upgrade to same type of jewelry that was blue.

Is there any way to know for sure an item is upgradeable?

You can't have the itens equiped.

this, remove your Blue item you want to transfer, dont wear it.

You probably still got it equipped in of your changeable builds.

I did try to unequip it but not for all my builds. I will try that. Thanks

got the same problem: you have to unequip that gear, also in the other gear set. That solved it for me.

You can only transfer xp IN or OUT from an item ONCE.

For example, transfer green XP to a blue item, you will never transfer the blue XP to a purple.

I just learned this the hard way also. Very annoying it is not more clear. There is an icon in the lower right of each item saying whether it can transfer once or not.
