Why This Game's Auction House Dooms the Game
When the game releases, early traction is key for longevity. The absolute dumbfaquadery of auction house only being tied to cash contributes to dooming the game in the long run.

Look, I'm an absolute idiot when it comes to economics. I'm a recovering socialist. But I think I figured it out:

> Game releases
> Hundreds of thousands join in
> Streamers and Youtubers riding the hype train for 2-4 weeks think that they can turn a ROI with cash
> Drops hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on Lucent.
> Prices get hyperinflated.....DURING EARLY ACCESS PERIOD.
> Casual players quickly realize that you need to grind 400+ hours to get enough lucent to get a purple with suboptimal stats.
> Thinks about dropping Lucent
> Sees that a crap tier weapon still costs $30+.... never mind fully gearing
>Ok.... let's try boss farming
> It's contribution based, you casual trash. You get nothing. Top guilds with best gear consistently get all the boss gear.
> You give this game a shot anyway. You get a few weekly mission rewards over 2 weeks, mostly doing repetitive tasks.
> You are fully purple geared. You feel like you hit a wall.
> Quits.

The game simply does not give the casual guy that might drop 10 bucks here and there and get battle passes a chance to keep up. When people feel like your individual progression has been soft capped, they will quit the game before they drop a profitable amount of money on your game.

If you really want to drop real money, just wait a month or so. The prices are hyperinflated due to the whales. At least let the prices stabilize over time.

The other main reason this games Auction House doesn't work is specifically cause it is just filled with purple gear that ALL sell for well over $100 USD and some blues for $50 or lower. Not to mention being filled with just a ton of extracts. For example; The entire Infernal Herald Set would cost you around $430+ on "Desire" atm.

It is not a healthy market system for a game like this.
