Why item went to guild chest?

I did a friendly event (Malakar) and the item went straight to the guild chest.
But it was not an guild event, it was an normal open world peace event!?
Is there any reason for that or how does this actually work?

it goes for any equipment drop, u have 5 minutes to claim the item otherwise it become guild property lmao

Also htf did you not pick it up, isnt it auto pick up?

I am not sure about the "claim" thing. I looked everywhere and only thing I saw was we can bid on the item and it says "sale pending". I mean I dont need it so some other guildy (member) can take it and I wait for a drop for my build.
Anyway I am just confused why world events are going to guild chest instantly!

It dopred on the floor and my pet picked it up and it was INSTANTLY send to guild chest.
There was no option or something.

1 picked it up
1 was send to guild chest.

There are three types of guild settings:
1- Not shared with guild
2- 5 minutes to claim your own drop
3- Guild chest

So your guild has either option 2 or 3, you should check the settings and discuss with your guild leadership about it. Its not uncommon to join a greedy guild and be scammed like that. Find one that suits you best, and check what type of guild it is *before* joining cause its 36h cooldown

Cause its BiS item for a certain build. But its not in AH yet. So we dont know the price cause it has not been sold before or.....

Well the GL made it purchaseble for me for 0 lucent, since you can not sell it on ah apparently.

Did you ask your guild what loot system they implemented? Most normally go with attendance equals lucent to all that participated, some are selective who gets the item.

You can tell who was in attendance and the ones that can either roll or get lucent. I'm not familiar with whether the Guild lead has total control of passing it to players who didn't go in raid or not.

the issue here is, that item apparently can not be sold on AH. Would be nice to get lucent for it.

I assume it is a Guild drop, you can sell it for lithographs if it is a GOOD trait. But most hardcore guilds give away the loot to players who need it. So you won't have a say over it.

Yea sounds like you have a greedy guild leaders. I have the ♥♥♥♥ turned off on my guild....i think. but i told the guildies if it gets sent to the guild chest to let me know and ill give it to them
