Dagger/Staff or Dagger/Greatsword?

I want to use daggers, but I'm looking for the best pair for it for DPS

Daggers just aren't a good main hand weapon, the META greatsword or staff main hand just use generic dagger skills and passives as support. Even if you wanted to use the offensive dagger skills, you wouldn't use dagger main hand really, and the only one that would make sense is like sword/dagger as a melee AoE build, but really short range AoE, abusing the multihits AoE skills with Spectrum of Agony sword passive, but it's entirely reliant on hitting taunt on a cooldown, if you don't use sword main hand you don't get blocks. Otherwise none of the weapons really synergize with daggers offensive skills, you could use them with greatsword but greatsword's own damage skills are better. For the single hit single target skills crossbow/dagger is better since crossbow can apply poison quickly and the off hand weapon chance is broken on single hits.

Gotcha, I'll probably stick with GS/Dagger and use GS in primary, only thing is at the moment it feels like I have no AOE abilities so im stuck just doing single target damage
