I need answers please!

Heya folks!
few hours in the game and can't say I hate it
But I need some things cleared up so please answer these questions.

1. Is there joint progression during main questing together?
say me and my friend make a party and do quest
the quest told us to kill 8 goblins, do each of us need to kill 8 gobs or could we just kill 4 each?

2. If i make multiple characters in 1 account, can I share items between chars? Like gears and materials for example.

3. Few hours in and I met quite a lot of players, I got close to them distance wise, to see their names, titles, guilds etc but I can't seem to inspect their gears or stats. Is this intended?

So far I've only played this game alone.

[Illogical]

1. Quests can be done together, but some missions of the main quest have to be done alone.
2. There is no trading in game and all items are locked to that character
3. I dont know i haven't tried to see other players stats.
