It depends on the player. If you have an active guild, there will be absolutely no need for this. The weekly chests are kinda mid and their stats NOT BiS. They are used to rng traits, not to get equipment. You can get better equipment through any other means (contracts, pvp, dungeons, open dungeons, world bosses, events, crafting...).
The fun starts when the big guilds start selling arch equipment and people buy it.

I wonder how many people will take off their rose-colored glasses in the next few weeks. Like, a lot of people have no idea what Lineage 2 by NCSoft was like, and how much money people were making there by selling ingame accessories from the bosses. There were guilds that were literally invading fresh servers, taking control over the bosses and selling the loot to the whales. Pretty similar situation with KR guilds on EU servers, innit?
