lvl 20 dungeon gatekept

reached lvl 20 now and the game said i unlocked the first co-op dungeon, i went to the auto party finder, clicked tank role, queued, and, nothing for 3 mins, decided to look at the list of parties directly, and everyone in there is looking for basically double the recommended to enter the FIRST dungeon of the game,ive seen a couple parties with lvl 40+ teammates, why?

At level 20, if you craft all your gear, upgrade it along with all the skills, you should be around 1000gs. I see people want 600+ and I am not sure how is it possible to be that low.

i was actually at 1000+ gearscore when i tried to apply to some perties, all rejected, all players lvl 30 and higher, gear score listed on party, 600 - 900

you would think the very first dungeon in the game, would be the most readily available, wont have a waiting time of over 3 minutes, and for a tank class too

i did it twice so far through the automated matchmaking and took about 20 minutes waiting time

the fact that auto matching takes 20 mins for a game that was released for less than a week, is horrible

Took me around 3 minutes for the 2 times I did the dungeon.
Mostly its waiting for a healer and tank sadly.
Almost wanne start over and pick one of those roles just to get lower waiting times.

I got in in less than a minute as a healer all night last night. If there are too many tanks/dps, it will take a while.

This is why i hate gearscore games. Everyone wants speedruns with 0% chance of fail and so they only team up with overpowered players and whales. The whole game will be like this. Every mmo that is based on gearscore has always been like this.. It would be best to hide gearscore from other players so people can just play the game. Just make a minimum gearscore level you have to reach in order to queue to avoid lowbies who don't qualify trying to mooch. But gearscore is all about showing off so gearscore games never do this.

I joined a guild that helps each other get gear. I'd recommend joining a decent guild and making friends with like-minded individuals with your own goals in mind to work towards instead of depending on every other player in the game to have the same mindset as you.

it only gets worse. this is an uber elitist game. this game isnt for joe six pack, its for dorks who still live with their parents.

And then they will look for players that are ten levels or higher than recommended

This is why MMO's are the worst now, This is every MMO nowadays.

A lot of this comes from the fact that MMORPGs as a genre, although more WoW than the others, have evolved into something that force you to treat the games like a job rather than a fun, enjoyable activity if you want to get even half-decent at it. When you go into a dungeon or some other group activity, you're probably not doing it with people who are there to have fun. You're doing it with people who are there because the game is forcing them to do it (and in some games within a set time limit) to grind X currency so they can get Y piece of gear so they can perform decently when they finally get around to doing what they WANT to do.
