Yes, but F2P players have no limitations to get to the same level. But it will take longer.

That also being said upgrading gear to +9 requires material that cannot be purchased with swiping. You also can't get all the gear from swiping, but most is available.

Additionally you can earn the currency bought in game. I've earned "300$" worth of premium currency just playing the game.

This is the first game I have ever unistalled before it completed its initial download. As soon as I completely read what it was and how PvP and P2W it is, it brought the most horrible memories NCSoft could have ever baked in my memory. This is just awful...why do we keep getting this Korean slop in the West?

No. A swiper will be as powerfull as the next non-swipper. You won't even be able to make the difference between a swipper and a non swipper as all items are ingame. There's 0 advantage to swipe other than just getting faster the exactly same loot as a non swipper and only IF the items are available in the player auction house as it's dependant of the player base progression.

It's just pay for convenience an you mostly gain about a couple of weeks of farming.

thats still p2w no matter how u wanna put it that a f2p person can get it kinda same saying to homeless person u can get a house too but u just gotta swipe first u know ;)

It's p2w. Just because you've been conditioned doesn't mean it isn't. I would say had the game just been PVE then there is merit to your words, it's a PvP game.

This is a F2P game. Where do you think the revenue to keep the servers open will come from? Battle passes and swiping Andys.

Not everyone has 5 hours a day to dedicate to the game.

And guess what, that swiping Andy is giving that lucent to another player, because that's how the marketplace works. And that drop was earned in game.

So Andy wins, the player that sold the item wins, and NCsoft wins with the revenue generated. I think in the current iteration of MMOs we exist in, this is a cool new concept.

As I said I'd earned enough premium currency by just playing the game to buy the next 35 battle passes. That's a cool in game system.

Please enlighten me? How is it P2W? What advantage do you get against a non-swipper? Because last time I check, items can only be bought ingame and these are easily available to a non-swiper.

P2W needs several factors, the main one being buying items that gives you an advantage that it's not available without paying rl money. This games is as much P2W as WoW or even any other MMO without a shop as you can easily pay guilds rl money for items. You people need to stop saying everything is P2W without even knowing what P2W is...

Fighting about what is considered p2w or not is irrelevant when it's the ones who has the money to keep buying into these systems that keep them in. We can argue over the technicalities of what p2w is but it's not going to change the fact that these systems will continue to exist.
