the game doesn't start (solved?)
The game won't launch. I click 'play' and it just stays there, doesn't do anything. At some point it showed 'playing,' but I wasn't actually playing and the game didn't open or show a window in the taskbar, it just doesn't start. xD

Pd: Before the recent update, this didn't happen. In fact, last night I reached level 20, and today I can't get in? Does anyone know anything?

For some reason, my PC running AMD has an NVIDIA folder? 😂 I don’t know if this happens to you guys, but my problem threw an error at the end. After searching and searching, I found the problem. In C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common, you should delete the file PhysXUpdateLoader64.dll, and it worked for me. Once I deleted that file, which was part of the error message, it worked. When verifying or correcting files, it says nothing is wrong, so I removed it, and it worked. That's what we need, right? I mean, if it prevented me from playing and deleting it fixed it... was it even needed? Poor file!

Same issue, just tried to validate files, not missing any files

Same thing for me. I was playing last night. It always takes a while for me to get into the game, but at least I was getting there eventually. But today, since the update, I can't get in. It gets as far as displaying my character picture but then just hangs there when I try to start.

At least you can get into the game... I can't even do that, haha. I'm just stuck in Steam with the play button, and at some point, it said I was playing, but I didn't have the game running. xD I just tried something, but it still doesn't work :/"

The game just threw me an error. According to GPT, this is the solution. I don't know if it's the case for you guys, but this thread helped me with that, I hope it helps you too. Still haven't tried it, but I hope it works

The error message you're encountering in Throne and Liberty, which mentions an "untrusted system file" related to PhysXUpdateLoader64.dll, typically indicates that the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) system is flagging this file as suspicious. This can happen even if you don't have an NVIDIA graphics card, as some games may still reference NVIDIA's PhysX software. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Repair Easy Anti-Cheat:

Navigate to the game installation directory. This is usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Throne and Liberty\EasyAntiCheat.
Run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe as an administrator and select the option to "Repair Service"(
Steam Community
)(
Computer Verge
).
Remove the Problematic DLL:

Move PhysXUpdateLoader64.dll to another location, like your desktop. Restart your PC and then try launching the game again. Sometimes, EAC may flag this file erroneously(
Steam Community
).
Update or Reinstall Gaming Services:

If the above steps don’t work, you may want to remove and reinstall the Gaming Services application. Open Windows PowerShell as an administrator and run the following commands:
powershell
Copiar código
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
After reinstalling, check if the issue persists(
Computer Verge
).
Check for Other Conflicting Software:

Sometimes, other software like overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience) can interfere with EAC. Try disabling any such applications and then running the game again(
Steam Community
).
Verify Game Files:

If you're using a platform like Steam, right-click on the game in your library, select "Properties," go to the "Local Files" tab, and click "Verify Integrity of Game Files." This can help fix any corrupted files that might be causing issues(
Steam Community
)(
Computer Verge
).
If the problem continues after trying these steps, consider checking forums for additional solutions or reporting the issue to the game’s support team for further assistance.

Thanks for the suggestions for a possible fix. I tried a couple of those but sadly they didn't work. However, I tried to get into the game again but this time I changed the graphic quality setting. It was auto recommended that my game ran on 'High'. This seemed to really test my graphics card and CPU so I changed the graphic quality to 'Medium'. It could be coincidence but I got into the game first attempt after I'd altered this. The game wasn't running smoothly at all, but at least I got in.

Tnks, works perfect now!

Further info....I lowered the graphics quality setting on the 'Enter' screen right after the Throne and Liberty splash screen. That seems to fix getting me into the game. Oddly once I'm in game I can alter the graphics quality setting back to 'High' and the game runs fine.

By any chance are you using MSI afterburner and Riva tuner server to monitor your game fps?

That was the problem for me, just shut it down (MSI Afretburner first, otherwise Riva tuner service will be auto-restared) and it should start.

Kinda sad, that I cant monitor my FPS during playtime, but I can understand easy cheat disliking it....

So far this evening I've spent an age downloading >60GB and launched. Hear "language not supported" on loadup (Everything on my system is set to English) and when I select any server I get a message saying I can't create a character on that server. So far, so Amazon!

I have the same problem since yesterday. Before that I played well.

Had this issue earlier, found out I needed to delete the leftover Beta files in the Appdata folder. There should be a folder in the "Users/Username/Appdata/Local" called TL, delete the folder, hopefully that fixes the issue for you guys.

I have never managed to get this game to boot

Have tried a few things

- remove and reinstall
- remove and manually clean out all TL files from App Data and Steam common
- update drivers
- checked the log it writes and nothing jumps out as an issue no error noted that I saw

Just shows me the space whale and just sits there doing nothing
