DPS meter will encourage people to act in a toxic way, you didn't see people getting hated on in their DMs just because they didn't meet someone's expectations during the boss fight. i think most people dislike the idea of their DPS being visible to others...

but if you want to do the pve content, the least they expect from you is to meet the expectations and reach at least a good amount of dps if you are supposed to be dps, if you cant reach it, if you dont even know how to even play your class, just uninstall or play solo content.

Nothing wrong with a DPS meter, casuals don't like it because they will be at the bottom of the meter every time. It's a good indicator of who needs to make changes. I like to use it for friendly competition with my guild and to see who the top damage dealers are in it.

This game should have the option.

People think it's toxic when others don't want to carry them on their backs. Then god forbid some 13 yrs old would call them a name and waterworks begin.

If you want to divert focus away from having a fun experience for all and force the developers to start designing game content around people having specific addons then keep asking for DPS meters. Oh..and when you start getting turned down for all dungeons because you are not the meta configuration and gear to within 5% of the top players even by your "friends" then don't say a word.

Adding a DPS/HPS Meter promotes competition in a PVP geared MMO. Toxicity already happens regardless of adding a DPS or HPS Meter. Once you join a High Level Guild, you will see how toxic this game can be.

I agree, I don't know which skills to pick without a detailed DPS meter that shows damage and heal amount of every skill. I don't need it to compare my DPS to others, that's useless, I just need to see mine.

The tooltips are also so useless and badly translated, and the stats are mess where 1000 points means 33% chance if is crit, unless countered by something, so it's for people who don't care what button they press or such.

Translation: If something is already a problem then by all means make it much worse as long as I'm happy.

This logic only plays if there is a bottom to toxicity... and its already been reached.

All numbers you dish out are literally presented to you on the screen. If you are that fixated on high DPS record your damage and count the numbers. It should be pretty clear then which skills are the best to take. DPS meter are for minmaxing and pushing the last .1% or so. For generic stuff like "which skill deals most damage" read the numbers that pop up on your screen.
