Blurry and pixelated graphics
so iam not sure what couses this, but for some reason the enviremont looks crisp, but all the moving part look like its 1990 again and we are playing games in 640*480

and no its not an hardware issue

maybe dlss set to ultra performance?

This game HEAVILY favors DLSS, and has ghosting/pixelation issues with TAA or FSR enabled. Also most of the grainy effects disappear at 1440p or higher, maybe you're playing at 1080p?

this happened to me you have to go to graphics settings and set it to anything then back to epic.

hm okay ,ty gonna try playing around with that
iam on a amd gpu so i guess it would be fsr related
also yeah im playing on 1080p that being said no idea how to issue could be resolution related but than who knows with all the upscaling stuff these days

it creates ghosting really bad, same with TAA. your edges won't be a smooth but if the ghosting is driving you nuts just turn off anti aliasing completely.

also worth mentioning, this is not a problem exclusive to this game. FSR and TAA causes ghosting/fuzzy images in a lot of games, which is why DLSS is considered so much better overall. but nvidia rips people off for their cards, soooo....

disable anything that dynamically scales your resolution, and disable anti aliasing, and you should have a much more 'stable' image. unfortunately it will also give your framerate a hit. if your gpu can afford higher resolution, even on a 1080p monitor, that will help a lot.

its a 7800xt so their should be enough room upwards its pretty much capped 100fps anyway

oh yeah definitely run the game at 1440p then and disable fsr+antialiasing. should still run great. i'm on a similar graphics card (rtx 4070 ti super) and my fps only takes a hit in the main city (drops to about 60).

taa and dlss will always have ghosting if your computer cant handle the game. get more frames
JohnMiller92 Oct 3, 2024 @ 2:17am
disable motion blur

There's two solution to this.

1.Use the proper resolution and proper settings that fits your machine and monitor.

2. Go to the game executable location `SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Throne and Liberty\TL\Binaries\Win64` and right click TL.exe > properties > compatibility tab > hit "Change DPI settings" button at bottom > check "Override High DPI scaling behavior." and apply. Then reboot the game.

If neither of the above work, save money and upgrade your toaster.

DLSS doesn't have ghosting the same way TAA and FSR do. period. i run two rigs in this house, one using AMD one using NVIDIA, and the difference in ghosting is very noticable. very, very noticable. FSR doesn't do what DLSS does by any stretch of the imagination, even FSR 3.1 can't compete. and TAA has always had this problem, especially in Unreal-based titles.
