I've seen where they said that in the past and that's a weak excuse (on their part). Most people probably don't even pay attention to the story as it's generic and even a bit childish at times. They should really reconsider their stance if they want their game to survive. Adding pointy eared humans and short stocky humans (elves and dwarves) would not be hard for them to do. Most other fantasy games have SEVERAL playable races (including their competitors).
It's a fantasy game. Elves and Dwarves are already there (we can interact with them just not PLAY them). Most other MMORPG at least have those races. They could add those at the very least. I agree with more weapons and skill sets. I'd love a warlock, blood mage, or necromancer (dark mage) type build. Most games have different magic types (elemental, holy, dark, druid, ect). A druid build would really be neat. Maybe bard. Same way with hunter/ranger build for bows/crossbows where you can tame or summon various beasts. Wish the skills and weapons were a bit more diverse. They could really get creative.
