HDR: What does the HDR Brightness Adjustment slider change?
Normally with HDR, there is a 'paper white' setting, and a max luminescence setting. It is unclear if this slider if for one of these or the other, or does something different entirely. It just seems to make everything brighter like a standard 'brightness' slider.

Anyone know?

When I searched this question, it seems that Nvidia users can't use HDR with DLSS frame generation. Not sure if that is your issue, but it is a start.

I use a 7800XT and didn't have an issue.

It just isn't properly implemented. When you see the current state of the game do you expect HDR to have a good implemention? Nah.

I'd wait for patches. Doubt the HDR is going to be something amazing even if it is fixed.

Go to windows display settings and enable HDR from there. if you cannot enable it, check your monitor settings and enable HDR mode from the monitor if appliable, and go back to step 1.

They changed something with yesterday's patch. You can now have both HDR and frame gen on yet HDR isn't HDR yet ,but some kinda mess that looks worse than SDR. HDR brightness slider is a joke, it just brightens the entire picture and not HDR highlights . They need to properly implement HDR.

Yes they fixed hdr, now it works with frame generation, i keep the slider at 350 and it looks better than sdr, more vivid colors and better contrast. I think the best is to keep it betwen 300 and 400, less than 300 it's too dark and more than 400 is too bright

Spot on, this is what I have observed as well. For some reason it provides more clear/sharper textures yet in terms of HDR highlights , I see no difference between SDR and HDR , I don't think it is really working properly.

It's not working properly. It also cause a black flickering, i had to disable the hdr because it's really annoying.

Let's hope the fix it.
