Why is gameplay so janky?

Am I missing something? No camera follow, moving left/right breaks autorun, character animation has no weight to it, no option to walk, movement is rapid... Feels like a mobile game

I stopped doing melee because it either decided to NOT lock on a target or decided mid combat to un-target even tho my hands are no where near the un-target keys

I dont know, i didnt notice anything strange about the combat. I love it so far.

I haven't had any problems with melee and targeting. Are you using action controls? maybe try classic

I suggest checking the settings and using a controller, I enabled auto target changed few settings in the camera and now it's a lot better.

I don't use controllers but compared to other MMORPGs this feels dated

Because everything is broken. And because they'll quite enjoy charging people for appearance change tickets later. No, they are not free. And no, you can't change anything about your character appearance without said ticket.

So either wait until they fix it, god knows when... Or make the character yourself in a way you like, hopefully without getting kicked during character creation and losing all your progress 20 times. Or I guess go in with randomized crap like some people did, without understanding or caring that they'll need to pay rl cash later.

Tab targetting isn't the issue in fact its the best mode for MMORPGs

Because it is. This was Linguine Enteral which started dev in 2011 and never left closed beta in 2016. It was turned into Project TL after the failed closed beta and re-branded into TAL 2022.

I agree, it doesn't feel good at all and I've tried a lot of games... this is mega jank. Even the skills are very basic looking. The various game systems are a mess too.

This is sadly true but only because Ping is a real thing. I remember Tera action combat was amazing but my god if you had bad ping and played the wrong class you were basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Tab target solves the ping issues but always make for a bit weird combat imo. but Im bias as ♥♥♥♥ because of how much tera I played.
