Dead on arrival?

Seems like no MMO can surpass WoW. I'm wondering, do you think this game is already dead?

Just because a lot of people have played a game doesn't make it good. WoW was the worst thing to ever happen to the mmo genre. It created a bunch of arrogant and entitled players who have infected the market for decades now. For instance, I've had a WoW player who joined my dungeon party in another mmo and said "Hey guys, I can tank this boss pretty easily cuz I played a tank in WoW for 14 years"... Then goes into the first pull of mobs and immediately dies because they have no idea what they are doing. Though, before rage quitting they manage to blame everyone else in the party on their way out. We all give a quick laugh, then proceed to replace them with a new random player and clear the dungeon. This is just one of many examples as I could go on and on with stories just like this. I'm sure there are some good and honest WoW players out there, but all the WoW players that I've interacted with are the very definition of manchild.

I play a lot of terrible games because I like something about each of them that makes them worth my time, but I don't go around trying to convince people they're awesome games. I don't get why WoW fans have this insatiable need to convince the world that their game was the best of all time and everything else sucks.

WoW was the best MMO of all time. It's an objective fact. It's just that now is cool and trendy to hate it. The fact that is worse now doesn't mean that it hasn't been the best of all time. You definetely didn't play it during the golden age of WoW but it was more than a game, everyone knew about it. It's normally new players that had no idea about what WoW was, that start talking bad about it. Or people that played it for so long that now hate what it has become. Still, it's still the most played MMO because of the massive playerbase it accumulated all over the years. You can prefer something else, of course.
Your experience doesn't really matter much because it's easy to find an MMO player that already played WoW in the past, proving how large it is. You certaintly can't believe his behaviour was plasmated by wow, that guy would be like that everywhere.
Again, I haven't seen WoW players go around seeing everything else is ♥♥♥♥, it's normally the opposite, people going around saying WoW is old, dead, bad, with zero proofs to back their claims.

It's new. It's decent. you can have fun with it. if your waiting for the next greatest mmorpg since wow you might be waiting for the rest of your life.

WoW players are Miserable, crying and complaing 24/7 about how much they hate the game meanwhile they play 12 hours a day. Everyone knows that, even so called WoW Pro player.
WoW is like a bad relationship you never leave because you are used to it.

True. I am waiting on that game, and I do dabble in every major MMORPG release only to be disappointed.

tbf grinding a profession on 2007 wow was the only rewarding profession i have found on mmorpgs, from there now grinding a profession is BS crap crafts to end up making 1-2 crafts on lategame that VOILÀ are being spammed by bots on AH anyways

Man, these clown farmers, and a WoW fanboy on top of that, obviously WoW was surpassed a long time ago by FFXIV, and a lot of fanboys still havn't accepted that.

while WoW isn't "dead" because there will always be people who can't let a played out MMO go, it hasn't be on top in almost a decade and is barely hanging on.

WoW is stale and will never be on top again,

hard cope, wow doesn't have pvp. Right now what you call pvp is literally worst clown fiesta
possible. Even playing in kr p2w mmo pvp is more enjoyable than this garbage with a totally removed open world pvp

nah you coping. open world 40 man zerg PVP is garbage. WOW pvp is at a low point because it is entirely balanced around mythic raids and now every class in the game has 5 AOEs and 4 CCs. Fundamentally it is good unlike TL which is clunky bland souless garbage that will have more bots then players in about 2 or 3 months.

no, I hate devs who destroyed game and I don't care about the game

TWW might be 'fixed' actually at least for pvp. blitz has duo queue which is mega busted and should be removed though. plus the MMR is broken and has been for like 15 years.

that said im already bored of it and unsubbed.

SWTOR has the best classic tab target MMO PVP on the market unfortunately the devs abandoned the game; removed ranked and put it in maintenance mode. If it would've gotten the same kind of support from EA that WOW or FFXIV gets from their overlords I would argue SWTOR is the best MMO period.
