So the saving and loading character customization doesn't work?

Spent like half an hour making my first character and saved it. Didn't like how it looked in game so I decided to make a new character and load of the customization I just did to tweak it some just to realized that the game didn't actually save it at all.

I've longed stop bothering with games that do that "Export character" nonsense. It never takes.

Unless it saves directly onto a server, I ignore any save feature and just record my creation if I have to backtrack

It works you just need a phone.
1. Choose Export QR code
2. Use your phone to scan code
3. Save the file.
4. Go to your new character and load QR Code
5. Scan QR Code with phone.
6. Select the saved File
7. Go back to the game and your character changes to you saved appearance

It works, it’s just weird. It’s like a work around for what was originally developed.

They want your phone number so they can sell it to data brokers , that's why they made such a convoluted scheme.

It works perfectly fine...so its either fixed or the incompetency is on the user end. I didn't understand it either, but Rebel posted simple clear instructions and it took me all of 2 minutes to do....

For anyone else passing by, Rebel's walkthrough works but I had to use Chrome on my phone. Firefox didn't work. So beware what you use . Such a complex system for something that should be so simple...

hello how do i save it?? im trying to save my apparance i dont see anything. im on pc ty

Just had this issue with my girlfriend's PC. Import via file seem to be broken on windows 10. On Linux/Proton it works without an issue so if you have a steamdeck or something you can do it via that. Exporting to file works but not loading from file on windows.
