ISSUE: Game won't start. Help.

Hello,

I installed the game.

I start the game. The game displays the company logos and the game stays/hangs with black screen doing nothing.

Any one faced this issue?

There is a very slight chance i am right, so don't get your hopes up
I have the same problem. My computer usually crashes on garrys mod but usually when crashes, has no response to what the problem is. this time my computer actually loaded a response and it loaded with ''cache: memory'' hoepfully you can get it running again

try restarting steam as admin and then launch the game. worked for me

I let it sit at the black screen for a while and it went through after the logos. This doesn't work with the black screen after the "can't create a character" error.

Black screen for 25 minutes, files validated via Steam. First time It got stuck on 0% rendering shaders, now it won't show anything but a black screen. 0/10

Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Throne and Liberty\TL\Binaries\Win64 and find TL.exe press right mouse button go to properties/Compatibility and select Disable full screen optimizations.Should help

using window 11, the Compatibility tab is gone. even when i tried to give it admin

Some program interfere with it loading, if you have any bit torrent client open in the background, even if not actively being used it wont load. You can also try to hit alt+enter to switch from FS to windowed mode.

I had an issue where it was trying to start with VR (somehow) and it kept crashing. I ended up having to "Stop" the OVR service in order to get it to launch.

I keep getting an out of video memory error, which is hilarious on my 4090. But then this is an NCsoft game and that company sucks balls.
