Long startup times
Anyone else having this issue? When I start the game I get Throne and Liberty Whale overlay screen for 10-20 minutes followed by the next splash screen with the spinning circle/triangle in bottom right corner for another 10 or so minutes before I get the the screen where I can press start.

I've tried it installed on both a Samsung and WD Black SSD and seeing the same issue on this PC. PC specs are i7-12700k, 64GB, 3080ti, so not thinking that is the issue. All my drivers are up to date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled, etc.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm also experiencing long load times. It's more like 4-5 min from launch to being able to press start, and then 4-5 minutes to load enough of the game to be able to open a menu. I tried setting my quality specs to my partner's quality options who has a computer with similar specs and the game loads like butter for her. It made my load times worse. I tried lowering a bunch of quality options, setting things to performance, setting things to low, and the load times are still too long.

Switching to full screen instead of borderless helped but it's still too long to load anything. I've died during the 'seamless' loading between areas where I needed to press F to hook or be morphed and flying, but the game loads and can't accept my input.

When I load into a dungeon it takes so long for everything to appear that everyone else is usually a few pull in already.

If I try to move around while it's loading, I can, but then I get massive desync and sometimes it takes longer to load, so now I just stand still.

I also have 16gb of ram and the game uses between 68-70% of my memory while just standing still. Combined with background processes I usually am in the high 90s of % of memory usage causing the game to hitch when too much is happening on screen.

Tried lowering my character count and view distance, it lowered memory usage by 5-7% on average, but now the game takes longer to load. It's like it has to load them in, and then hide them, or something, instead of just not loading them.

The lower quality settings make the game look worse and take longer to load. Doesn't make sense.

The game starts up ultra fast for me.

Barely see the splash screen.

I have exactly the same issue despite my pc specs are really high. Recommended specs by the game is epic, however game running quality is terrible.

I've noticed that if i click play then switch window like pull up web browser or whatnot the game just refuses to start.. like at all.

So just click play then hands off keyboard until the game starts.

But as i said in the above reply, once i see the splash screen it starts right away.

I just have to not do anything until the splash screen actually comes up

Bro,

You were right. I had the same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled in SSD and it is running great now. Many thanks!
