Few points on swipe-able power:
1 - buying dungeon drops (can’t buy dungeon weapons): You can spend 15k - 20k($200-$300USD) lucent for a actual weapon (not trait weapon). Or you can farm dungeon weapons by clearing 5 instances dungeons of all 6 dungeons. Clearing 1 dungeon nets you 4 currency to go towards crafting your weapon. You need 20 currency from each dungeon the craft the weapon you want. You get 3 clears per day. So based on the math, you need 10 days of clearing dungeons to craft your preferred weapon. You can get the weapon of your choice 10 days early for 200-300 USD.

2 - upgrade material: I maxed two weapons purple +9 without spending a dime. You can spend your daily resin (daily open world dungeon points) to farm mats to upgrade your gear. I basically started the game with 20k points which is cap for how much points you can hold at once. Each mob cost about 10 points and you get from 1 - 5 upgrade material/gear at random per mob kill. You can’t p2w daily points as of right now but if you put in the time, you will be at the same power level as everyone else. If you spend all 20k points farming you’ll have more than enough to max out all purple gear easily. You get 1500 points per day from clearing your 3 daily instanced dungeon. I will say that farming in open world dungeon is really competitive as there are no channels you can swap to so it’s basically a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with everyone and their mothers camping each spot for mob spawns.

3 - gear traits: The stats you get from traits isn’t really that huge from what I can tell from pvping. Someone with a +9 purple with no extra trait against someone with a +9 purple max trait is still killing you if they get the jump on you. Traits currently might be the most p2w aspect in the game as of right now but the stats you get from it really isn’t worth it. Other than damage boost traits everything else is whatever in my opinion. You can decide if you want to spend 1-3k Lucents for a 40 stat boost in defense/hp for a slight boost.

based on comments traits play a factor on evading attacks so with high enough evasion stats you can make attacks on you miss more often.

Traits are still farmable but without the exact trait that is the same tier as your gear (green/blue/purple) it’s rng tier up.

4 - guilds: Guilds play a huge factor in speeding up process of gearing up to BIS gear since you can only acquire them if your guild does the most damage to the world boss. I would recommend joining an active guild to be somewhat competitive. Or AH which is a p2w factor. (I’m still new so I’m basing my experience on my first hand experience in PVP).

Btw in the future when runes comes out, u cant buy them, only grind.

TLDR: As of right now If you put in the time you’ll still be competitive compared to someone that swipes for their traits. Everything is farmable in a reasonable amount of time. Gears with bonus effects (not traits) will make p2w more apparent as the game goes on. Good luck and have fun out there. It’s just a game after all (:

I saw a lot of this messages about being kicked. But its EA which full of KR players and toxic sweats. Its not all players, only a minority. Today game will be globally out and there will be a lot players like you, a lot casual. It will not be hard to find people like you and play together, find guild who will not kick you.

Stop dooming because of some KR toxics sweats, when game even didnt come out for all yet

P2W means u cant progress without swiping. Here u can grind - its default MMORPG. I doubt u ever played any MMORPG and Throne and Liberty

Lol yep,

'join an active guild' means if you don't put in 8 hours of WORK a day you will get kicked.

If you go on holiday for a week and come back and every one has diamond gear while you still have gold you will get kicked.

The type of guilds that are dominant/strong are always the sweaty toxic kind that pretend to be f2p players but actually spend money to not 'fall behind' or they have found a glitch in the game to give themselves an advantage.

This game Is 100% play to win, their is even a £40 early access. Lol.

People don't understand p2w can be achieved in more than one way.

But Amazon have won, because when people are not sure if a game is p2w that means you have designed it right.

There is actually a video of a dev who explains this in a conference I might link later.
