Bringing out a game with a mixed style of pvpve and called it a new thing for motivation is a shoot in the head.
Today players wanna pvp only in arenas, events if they can flag and nothing others.
Most wanna play pve with dungeons, raids, world bosses and others from my experience and in best case a good crafting system.
I told a girlfriend before release that i dont assume this game will have a good success with players.
kidding? ncsoft korea designed the real-money auction house that takes a 22% premium currency cut—that's worse than the 19% VAT i pay in real life. i'd rather be taxed by the government.
the whole system integration is up to the korean devs
... don’t even get me started on the other stuff, or what's coming in the cash shop from kr
Or fix the AH with a fixed economy or cap on items. (BDO) Which could very well happen. The in guild trading only doesn't work because someone will join a guild just to pay for an item then leave. That has never worked in any game. (ESO) Your just asking for RMT at that point. The taxes from the sale taken out of any transaction in the game however are all put into the siege booty from the way I am understanding it which is interesting because that is an incentive to do it. It has a pve and pvp world boss rotation which is interesting mechanic. I like that there is caps on dungeons and that by doing those you generate a resource that gives bonuses to open world dungeons which also become pvp zones during night phase. There is always something to do.
Time will tell.
