with many, many more pay2win systems and mechanics allready in the korean version of the game, with amazon "evaluating" them to add later in our version
The free to play player can basically farm the same stuff that a whale can get with swiping, but it will take them a lot of time since most of the farmable content is gated (think of this like energy in a mobile game). By the time the free player finishes upgrading his gear and catches up to the whale, better options were already added into the game. This means that while in theory its doable, you don't really get to enjoy the labor of your hard work for too long or not at all...then you also have the endgame gear that requires being in a good (to be read large) guild that has some sort of contribution system..and i dont want to discourage you, but going against fully geared people in a f2p player rags is far from enjoyable.
Those are ALL under p2w category. You are paying for an advantage over someone who didn't pay. It doesn't matter if it's gold, exp, time.
Another pay to win game like NCSOFT's other mmo, Guild Wars 2 where you can buy gold directly with real cash.
Fail.
