Still no luck. Support said "wait for an update then" but there was one already and nothing. 30 years of IT experience and I can't fix this broken garbage.

Same here, playing since launch but I had a break (life, work etc). After a new update I went to play a little. I am unable to log in for 3 weeks now. I have purchased premium pass for october and it goes to waste.

Then you did it wrong, because its the answer. If you're using Windows 11, there's a file conflict that causes the error. The only way to fix it is to rename that folder properly, reboot comp, and log in again.

Not everyone is using Win11. I'm on Win10 and nothing works.

Just had the access violation on startup and then when I sent the report my Internet Security blocked it as a high malicious threat.. Fun times..

Go to your "My Computer" > C > Users > [Your User Name] > AppData > Local > TL > Saved.
In here, you should have a file with a very long name, something like:
"D3DDriverByteCodeBlob_V4318_D8710_S949425250_R161.ushaderprecache"

- Close your Steam
- Delete this file
- Start Steam > Library > Right Click Throne and Liberty > Properties > In general tab remove the "-dx11" and close the window
- Start the game

You might need to go through the process of "shaders" again, but my game did not.
Now you might be able to get in your game and also with directx 12.

I just restart steam to fix this. It just means I was playing a VR game before and openxr is still loaded.

1 of the solutions to this is to
Library > Throne and liberty > Installed game files > Browse > Find start_protected_game.exe
Remove ticks on disable full screen optimisations and run as administrator

Also, a VPN may also be the problem. So turn it off if nothing else works.

I will put my 2 cents in as ive had this problem since launch. Nothing mentioned here fixed it. However I did end up getting it fixed. The fix was complicated and extermely time consuming as my problem was my router. I built my own and was running PFSense as the software. PFSense was the problem, amazon was opening 14 different ips when I connected to the servers to play and after days of learning how to read the logs and everything else. I noticed a pattern that, every time you went to a dungeon or different zone, TL was adding a new connection from a different IP and on the 15th new IP PFSense was dropping connection and causing the 1012 error to happen. My fix was to reformat my router and use OPNSense which handled Amazons bs alot better and grouped the connections into 1.
So if you are getting 1012 after a DC it is more than likely an issue with your firewall either on your pc, or router. What you can do is when you get DC if everyone else in the house gets a lag spike or their connection to any other program freezes for like 1-4 sec than its something with your router not likeing amazon crappy networking. If its just you than its your computer firewall not liking amazon crappy networking.
