and by * i mean it follows the trinity but a lot of late game builds have enough sustain/evasion to not need healers, tanks are to a lesser extent affected by this but you'll be hard pressed to find a dps that doesn't get blasted by certain mechanics if the damage isn't dumped.
Generally speaking if you have a group of properly geared individuals tanks and healers aren't needed because dps can pump enough damage to skip some mechanics that require tanks/healers.
