Dungeon Party finder

I tried queuing up for my first real dungeon. The spector's abyss, not sure if this is normal. But with 180,000 players in this game and with only about 20,000 in final fantasy XIV, I was able to get a dungeon party filled up much faster in FFXIV. Can someone tell me what's going on here?

Also, not sure why, but if I do get a full party, most seem to just leave anyway.

half are bots.
You can try the party board but there are to many tryhards, they´ll leave at the first wipe.

It's mostly because there's not much reason to do sub level 50 dungeons once you're level 50 and unlike ff14 it doesn't scale the rewards.

Also this game doesn't really give a reason for you to play tank or healer so the vast majority are dps.

People leave once someone fails a mechanic because they're impatient.

Use party board if you want more solid groups

FFXIV has an independant launcher outside of Steam.
Steam pop doesn't account for the entire population of FFXIV.

You're comparing the PC population of a game only accessible through Steam to one which isn't. That's what's going on.
