im level 31 with almost entire purple gear and didnt spend any dollar (btw im pvE player)
thanks <3 sounds good.. cant wait to finish the download :)
but its a fun game.
I recommend it very much!
The person who responded to you is completely full of it. It's nonsense. Guild and arena PvP are dominated by P2W whales. It's just an irrefutable fact. It cannot be helped since it's baked into the design of the game. You will be competing with players with gear scores greater than 4500 at minimum. That said. can you still have fun doing PvE events with a semi-casual guild. You can also gear up with some thoughtful time investment and patience. I find the game quite fun.
You can reach lvl 50 in a day or even 5 hours and only get purple gear from either lvl 50 monsters or from goblins that have a rare spawn i dunno what this dude is on about..he cannot posses full purple gear under lvl 50..what a bunch of bs.
But No, its not really p2w you can farm everything im a week in and got nearly everything i need and tommorow i get my weapon.
do not awnser to questions if u are not even close to basic understanding.
everyone below max lvl has no clue since the lvling process is very smooth and easy till you reach max lvl.
to your question:
yes you can get purple gear with normal farming, that is not the issue (depending on what kind of purple you want, dropchance are super low, which is fine, but some Best in slot can only be gained from world bosses which are 50% of the time in open pvp zones, and ppl will slaughter you there so you can most of the time not even try to get it).
the main issue is in the upgrading of said gear. every gearpiece has max 3 traits, and every trait can be upgraded 3 times from lvl 1 to lvl 3.
for example: purple sword with
1 "rune" - has a passive skill
trait1:+max hp
trait2:+ crit
trait3:+ crit dmg
to get 3 traits on your desired weapon you need to either unlock every trait with certain ressources, which can be paid with money to gain
or
you grind the same weapon multiple times
if you have an identic weapon with different traits you can fuse them together in 1 weapon with both traits.
now
to lvl your traits you can either use blue or purple weapons/ gear with the same trait as your used weapon has.
blue weapons have a 10% chance to increase the lvl by 1 and purple a 100% chance
you can of course buy weapons with the traits u need for real money therefore you dont need to grind anything
the drop chance of the weapons you want is very low and you ahve to get it multiple times or pay for to make it stronger.
so yes if you ask " do i have to sink hours into something someone else can just pay for".
yes, that is how it works.
(the exact same upgrading mechs are also true for every gearpiece and every ring and so on), you WILL 100% need a ton of time to maybe get waht you want. if you pay you are strong instant.
cheers
What's even more funny the gap between whales and other people will of course get bigger with every another tier of gear - not in the other direction - and you will still stay in denial.xD
when i wrote it you were not above me, so i changed it after is saw that you were above me.
it was not adressed at you but at the first dude who as i said claimed you do not have to spend anything and are equally fast if you "know how gear works"
What're you even talking about.
i advice you not to upgrade beyond level 9 blue gear and upgrade your blue gear traits to get better Gear scores.
if you like myself put level 9 blue in the new purple you just got yourself in trouble because purple gear traits costs so much lucent it is better to wait till you find purples that have traits you need then and only then use the transfer function and destroy your level 9 blue item in the process.
ps you can still use cool purple drops you find just dont transfer your level 9 blues into them yet. also you can only transfer once in an item so make it count better keep the purple at level 0 till you have a few traits boosted on them of drops you got if you dont want to spent lucent.
