Random restarts while on T&L
x760e asus/7800x3d/g.skill cl30 6000/3080/1x2 wd 1tb nvme/850w Psu.

Sometimes I can go about an hour and sometimes only 20 mins but the game literally makes the computer restart almost into a fail safe. No bsod. Computer acts as someone just hit the reset button on you. It was not untill I think around october 8th or 9th is when it started happening and If I remember correctly there was a game update AND windows that same day.

Using hwinfo64 my temps on gpu never go above 65 and the cpu never foes above 80.
Ive spent days trying out various things to make sure that my computer was not to blame.

Prim95 over night with zero thermal issues and zero errors. Furmark, timespy, you name it I have ran it with no issues and no warnings and the computer is stable.
Ram passed both windows memory diag and memtest86

Any other game can be ran/left on for hours with no issues.

What I have tried : Fresh install of windows |
: Format drives x switch them in slots.
: Running steam/game as admin
: Lowering graphics/Direct x 11 instead of 12.
: Disabling Expo and running my ram timing/speed manually
: Disabling my PBO and curve optimizer
: Updating all drivers

I have seen a few posts on the steam thread here but with no insight to what it is. Posting this in hopes a new thread will spark the attention of someone who has had the issue happen and fixed or someone who knows how to fix.

If your CPU or GPU are overheating, Windows will shut down to protect the hardware. I'd check that and your RAM. Hope this helps.

I appreciate you taking time to comment and help but nothing is overheating. Even on boot up there is no error from my corsair app or log saying either or went above and beyond the set thermals.

Faulty memory or an unstable/dying PSU may be possibilities.

Edit. Oh nvm, you did prime test.

Yeah its very weird ... Like how would these tests not lets say " trip " my " Faulty" psu or ram but do what its doing on throne?

about 45 hours in the game smooth.. and now I dont know where to check

By default Windows disables STOP on BSOD, and instead automatically restarts the system without showing you the BSOD.

It will still be recorded in the event log, so start looking there. You can also turn off the automatic restart on BSOD so if it is a BSOD you can see it as the system will halt and display the BSOD until you manually reset the system.

But I would look in the event log as it should provide valuable insight.

If your PC is restarting it mean your PSU is dying are your CPU is over heating!

Zero application errors , Zero system errors.

Only error being displayed is for my disabled bluetooth/wifi and for my xbox services being disabled.

As my post says. Cpu is not overheating. I can run prim95 or any other sever stress tester for 10 hours+ over night and the computer says goodmorning. You cant even play the game for an hour. So is throne and liberty the NEW NEW stress test?

It does not say the last shutdown was unexpected?

Likely some wonk shenanigans with UE, game cranks up the heat when there's a lot of characters on the screen, so towns will likely cause this if your cpu spikes randomly (which amd cpus are known to do) and could trigger a restart due to thermals.

It is weird that you've run prime95 and haven't encountered the same issue, which leads me to believe it might just be UE not playing well with AMD/intel code in specific circumstances.

But generally speaking restarts like this are hardware (though often times software can be the culprit) related, do you have minidumps enabled? Even if you don't get a bluescreen windows might produce one you can read (with windbg and the like) which will give you a generalized idea as to what might've caused the problem.

Yes that is odd. If the PC is shutting down there is a major issue. Such an event is always recorded in the event viewer. Usually it is the PSU or a overheating issue. Since you say temps are fine have you checked voltages while your PSU is under load? Such an issue is hardware related most of the time. It could be drivers, or OS related, but you say you have tried reformatting.

Yeah I have hwinfo up and everything is where it should be if not a tad bit less. Its literally only on throne. Maybe throne is using something else these programs are not but I highly doubt that. At this point im lost

If it does not list in the event log it shut down unexpectedly, that means it likely shut off so fast it was not able to log anything of value.
Still, it should not have cleared the dirty volume bit to detect an unexpected shutdown.

If you want, you can drop to a command prompt and type in wevtutil qe System /q:"*[System[(EventID=41) or (EventID=1074) or (EventID=6006) or (EventID=6005) or (EventID=6008)]]" /c:100 /f:text /rd:true

Just to make sure you are not overlooking something in the event log.
But if it happens without any warning you should consider voltage issues on your PSU, especially the +12V rail(s).
As a PSU becomes older it can drop the voltage out of specifications when under heavy load, causing totally random crashes.
