Bots and Liberty
Bots in dungeon group finder, Bots in every event literally in some case winning events, Bots in the abyss token dungeon farms, Bots in every part of the world grinding every spot there is, I've seen bots in ranked pvp for god sakes.... At this point I genuinely believe there are more bots then actual players or least 50/50 they're endless... at this rate the game will be dead in a few months. Its bad like really bad..

There are VASTLY more bots than players in the game at the moment. I could provide screen shots from every town with 20-40 bots standing around each waystone. With the real players numbering half that. They are in every zone, every city, every dungeon, every open world dungeon. Literally can't take 1 step without tripping over 20 bots. They are destroying anything fun this game had going for it.

Ive read an article about certain mmo companys ( usually f2p ones ) allowing,or even creating bots themselves so the numbers are high and their shareholders are happy.. Not sure if its the case here though. If its not getting fixed, then you know whats up.

I do find it odd, that when it first released, there were zero bots for first 2 weeks or so, and now its like a locust swarm of bots for as far as the eye can see. Some are saying guilds are using the bots to boost their guild ranks ect. You could be right though it could be to pad player count stats. Either way I couldn't recommend this game to anyone at the moment. What the streamers haven't destroyed with the mega guilds, the bots will surely finish off.

I've not noticed bots so much as multi boxing! If there are a lot of bots int he game they are pretty good at making it look like there not bots.. Maybe it's console players that don't use the chat so they don't respond? Honestly, I only interact with my guilds on discord, I font' even notice the chat so I'm sure someone has thought I was a bot because I didn't respond to them.... The multi boxing on the other hand?! Now that crap is like game breaking...

you can always tell its a bot, their names will be something along these lines, Hgjkhsejiofh and they will be in a huge train of like 12+ clusters. Now I am sure the botters are using Multi-box because all the commands are in sync; However they are all the same weapon setup doing the exact same spells always running together on set paths. That is bot behavior. You can easily spot them.

See, we are talking about the same thing. I don't consider multi boxing to be "bottling" as there may actually be one person playing all those characters with one mouse and keyboard. to me a bot is a computer program running the character for you. Botting you can detect rhythmically by the paths that are run and the repetitive nature of the patterns. Multi boxing is harder to detect without being in game because and actual human can be controlling all of the characters so they play "like a human". So, I hing we actually agree, my bad for not understanding! Cheers!

there are bots, go to the dungeon finder and queue a couple of times you'll run into them in parties like the lower lvl dungeons. they have a predetermined path, follow the same movement, they ignore mobs and just go the same route, very easy to notice. i dunno if their just farming mats or padding guild stats but either way its undeniable behavior

I have yet to see it personally but fair enough. bots are bad, no one likes them LOL! Fortunately the Dev's seem to be actively combating them. There's already been a wave of bans and if what your saying is going on, is still happening, I expect there will be more. So, deep breath, it's all going to be okay. Give the Dev's some time to get their footing. I mean WoW has been around for over 10 years and they still have a bot/multi boxing problem. Any popular game is going to have them but after the Dev's get some data analytics to work with and feedback from in game by reporting it should calm down. Cheers!

The Korean servers were purged of most bots? so it might get better soon(ish)

I've yet to see an East Asian MMO without copious amounts of bots. It became a huge problem when the F2P but massive microtransaction thing took over from subscriptions models. Even in the older western MMOs, you still had farming accounts, but it wasn't so rampant.

I don't know that it being F2P has anything to do with it. I've seen WoW with bots for as long as it has been a thing. Even before it went FTP. Botting/multi boxing is going to be a thing for any game that uses RNG as the base line for gear progression and is social. Now, an interesting question would be, could you make a profitable game based entirely off of individual progression. But even then, you'd get bots running so that they could sell accounts that have been artificially progressed. Maybe real ID verification for every account? I would have privacy concerns but short of something like that I see no way to get rid of this type of thing entirely.

The thing with most FTP is they can create as much accounts they need when they get banned.
Back years ago devs made it hard for bots with objects blocking pathings and such.
These devs couldn't even be bothered besides a few ban waves.
