the drop rates in this game based on amount of dmg u dealt. so if u a healer or a tank then dont expect good loot or purple from bosses. the one who make most of dmg will get the good loot. the loot is damage based.
i am a healer and from co-op dungeons i get always blue and only once got purple becose i didnt heal and used staff full dps build. but i dont like the full dps mage build.
i like to play as mage and heal.

based on what? for overworld bosses it is stated to be based on contribution, contribution is not defined, this is not stated on dungeons, I've been playing as a tank and I get more than enough purples, its just rng

my kit has greatsword in it, its nearly unupgraded and the largest part of my skills is from the sword and shield to ensure I keep aggro and am able to sustain taking that aggro, only 2 of the skills I have equipped are solely damage centered while the other 10 are not.

Not true, lol I'm also a healer and i get epic drops every day.

Dungeon end chest reward is based on chance, not contribution. You can't open it without contributing with the fight, that much is true. But you can get any listed item from the chest. I've just been getting those Abyssal rings.

Here is what i'm seeing so far really my main is cursed tbh lol

IE:
Main - 0/10 Portals, 0/7 Dungeon Purple loot, 0/25++++ World bosses no loot.

Alt - 4/5 Portals, 3/6 Purples from Dungeons, 1/25++++ World bosses 1 loot.
