Why Free-to-Play Players Struggle in Throne and Liberty(250+ hours)
After completing daily co-op dungeons in just 30 minutes, I feel that no other event offers worthwhile rewards. Even after the reward update patch, it’s still not enough. I've attended nearly all the world boss events, but I’ve only received a purple item once. The Sauroma night event is dominated by whale zerg players, making it nearly impossible to farm any chests there. At some point, you hit a wall, and it feels like you need to invest at least $100 just to meet the bar for a good build.

Some players have gotten lucky, earning good gear and selling it for a significant amount of lucent, but it's as rare as winning the lottery. Every PvP event is controlled by one large guild, leaving no content for smaller guilds. I check the player count every day, and it’s easy to see why people are leaving. Pay-to-win players progress rapidly, while free-to-play players struggle to catch up, unable to grind due to restrictions.

For free-to-play players, Throne and Liberty becomes boring over time because the game doesn’t reward them in any meaningful way. The imbalance between pay-to-win and free-to-play players makes progression frustrating, limiting the overall enjoyment and engagement for non-paying players.

meanwhile you too will be able to sell the same and other traits for the same 300 lucent and more ( and less )

:steamfacepalm:

made 2nd char on NA east
7k lucent in 2 days because they whale like mad compared to EU

prior knowledge argument sounds fine and all but its very shallow

doesnt take much to do some research and read the market

Just FYI i blocked you a while ago not like you ever have any arguments except personal attacks, bye kiddo stop wasting your time responding to me ;)
At least this other guy tries to come up with a way to explain things, even though it's far from enough to catch up with whales.. or change the fact f2p players will struggle.

Shadow harvester gloves are worth a ton of lucent with any trait. Clasp is worth a lot of lucent on any trait, altho i can go from good to insanely good. Dimensional rings are worth a ton of lucent aswell. And no, lithographs do not "cost a lot of resources" unless its weapons. And thats only cause rubrix is expensive, while acessory and armor gems are almost worthless.

It takes epic mats which you earn daily selectors from a level 10 guild, gems that if its not a weapon cost less than 50 lucent, and ink which you can earn weekly from contract shop. Does that sound complicated to the "ive played all ncsoft games" guy?

Yes, old mmorpgs sure do still work.
It's the endless p2w that killed these games, or ncsoft not addressing issues with cheaters for over a year.. not having enough content rofl.. or not being limited.
Nobody asked to be restricted in the games they are playing.. literally NOBODY.

And i don't have a level 10 guild, i don't wanna be forced to play in a guild.
But how you gonna get Shadow harvester gloves then?
They don't even sell lithographs for them, so all you can do is try to farm it in a dungeon, an you probably gotta be focusing on items you need before trying to farm things that are just worth lucent..
Beside that, the drop chance in these dungeons are atrocious all they giving me is 3 blues a day.....
And ofc it has a 3 runs a day limit.

If you use your mats for the petty system, and you get max mana you also still only have 300 lucent and for this you need days of work...

Meanwhile gl hf upgrading your traits with 300lucent..

We've come to the point where you need to take the absolute worst possible outcomes to make a point. And thats on top of assuming this same individual never drops anything of value, ever. which is already pretty questionable. Remember that every drop in the shop came from someone, and its absolutely not a handful of whales supplying the entire market.

And please do join a guild. I also don't do content, all it takes is level 10 shop and logging in to kill the boss once a week. My guilds don't even talk, its just bosses on saturday, people get their drops and go on with their lives. Casual guilds are that simple, join one.

Or do i pick the worst possible outcome because that's also the most likely outcome?
95% of the gear i drop just has terrible stats and so did the ones i crafted with lithographs and the other currencies.

And not saying i NEVER drop anything worth of value.. but even if i get a few hundred lucent a day, it's barely enough to upgrade 1 trait lol..
But a lot of the farming seems rather pointless last days after i only got my daily limits to farm.. I barely get anything anymore..

And then you finally get the items you need to craft with currency or lithographs, and you get useless traits again :D

Perhaps you're just really lucky? ;/
At first days i also seemed to get way more purple drops, even seen two purples drop from the same mob.. but now? it's almost like they nerfed drops, or i'm just extremely unlucky, which could be possible.. but if i listen to other people, i feel like i'm not the only one.

You can check trait drop rates ingame, theres no weighting towards bad traits.

No you don't you need lucent to craft... you need those special medallions you get from events and world bosses.

If you are talking about buying litographs then that is... bad

I want more Solent to buy more inventory room and craft skill/weapons....

The ingredients often during rainy or night time.... that is when I farm mobs.

There needs to be instanced PvP like arathi basin and the battlegrounds on wow was, the guilds can still have premades and the solos can still BG mostly avoiding premades this is the way

Those medals only craft worthless gear not the gear you were talking about..
The item you were talking about only drops in a dungeon, or can be crafted if you have a lithograph.. so to get that, you either need your dungeon limit tokens or lucent to buy the lithograph :D

Not gonna do 40 world events/world bosses to craft 1 item with traits between 90-150lucent :/ (not saying i'm not doing them at all either, but they not the main focus.. just world bosses or when i'm bored i do the events..

WHAT? LOL

You use them for the drops you don't need and try to sell the litographs itself or attempt for a great success. I personally don't know your market but most litographs in NA West is around 1k+ lucent.

Lots of purple lithos have dropped down to 300 lucent now on US east

What drops? what are you talking about.
You were talking about using the medals to get the gear..
And now you're talking about drops?
Getting confused here :D

My point was that the gear you can get with those medals is worth barely anything..
The traits aren't and neither are the lithographs if you would take that route..
It's a lot of work for max 300 lucent, it's really not a way to catch up with people who just pay and get it instantly lol.
The abyss one is a bit better, but it also takes longer and the prices of that are going down as well.

There were some good items to get, like the sapphire ring where you only need 10 tokens of each dungeon.. But the price of that is rapidly dropping as well, ofc when people notice this they all gonna use their currency to buy the same.
Most things that are still worth something are things that drop from open world dungeon bosses like the Shaman.. but to get that you need to be really lucky and save your tokens.
