Forget about the game if your into PvE or dont wanna Whale
the game is fun get your fill from leveling do a few dungeons, but thats where it ends.
Bosses are gatekept by guilds, worse is most servers top guilds are allied so you end up with 500+ members online at any given time.
I gave it a chance grinded to 2700, this is a waste of time for anyone not willing to spend real money to keep with the curve.

GateKeep : 1
Dimensional abyss tokens (What allows you too loot dungeon bosses)
caps at 4500, costs 300 per boss kill if you want the loot (refills 900daily)
can be recharged by farming chests in Saurodoma at night
(PvP zone with guilds controlling the chests)

GateKeep : 2
Abyssal contract (open world dungeon loot/xp/money drop chances increase)
caps at 20 000, get 50 per contract mission
missions cap at 50, recharges 10daily
get some from dungeons when opening chests
(which you have a daily limit unless your guild controls saurodoma chests)

GateKeep : 3
World Bosses
i mean there world bosses on a timer u got the Peace versions where no pvp and Conflict which is PvP enabled and gatekept by guilds...dont let ''peace'' fool you though if your server is controlled by whale guild they control all 3 transcendant abilities, so they can FORCE an eclipse which in turn FORCES PvP which they will do if the said boss drops very good gear to not let the other players get a chance at loot.

GateKeep : 4
Guilds, you can join random friendly guilds and enjoy PvE, but if you want to join a top guild prepare your self, requirements are STEEP some asking for minimum 3200+ gearscore (which unless your actively putting money in the game is not something easily achieveable and they dont stop with that most guild will require players to keep a minimum gear score value which increases as content is released so they remain the strongest

Game is a classic korean mmo, a wasted opportunity at making another GREAT game ruined by corporate greed.

Yeah got to admit the pvp in this game is pretty lame

I mean I'm taking the game pretty casually, got 80 hours in with only 2 weeks of playtime. Just playing and looking around and learning, I just got my Abyss Tokens down to 3900 and Abyssal Contracts down to 14000. You can use battlepass currency, ornate coins (you get like 500 each time the server goes down for maintenance), and guild currency to help on all these things.

The pay to win stuff is literally cosmetics. The rest of the game is normal MMO ♥♥♥♥ with a grind. It's like Albion Online where each piece of everything links upwards or downwards on the rarity spectrum. Break blues down into Greens. Build Blues up into Purples.

You can only have 3 alliance guilds at a time too. So that's a max of 280 players you gotta face down if every guild member goes online. Most I've seen online at once for an event is like 25. My own guild barely breaks 10 to grind out world bosses and open dungeons.

Everyone whines about "Pay to Win" when none of the currency you need to play is able to be bought. I guess you can blow Lucent on battlepass currency?

My point is, the game has enough going on that you aren't stuck waiting to grind dungeons. Lots of exploration, lots of PvP/PvE (you get tons of items just helping mates level or grind their own ♥♥♥♥). My only gripe right now is the Mystic Keys being capped at 5 a day. And that's cuz I like hunting for the orbs and Mystic Portals.

I dunno man, when you say it's a classic Korean mmo, I think of a TON of MMOs. This one feels like Guild Wars 2 + FF14 + Albion Online. I mean go call Guild Wars 2 a classic Korean MMO. It has you buy each story's "Season" if you miss it, has a cosmetic shop, forces you to buy more storage, etc etc.

This game is still young but Lucent only guys cosmetics right now. I spent it on the battle pass and earned like 380 on the auction house selling garbo. Not a hard core game, not no-lifeing it. Just walking around and doing different things.

Also eclipses don't force PvP.

EDIT: Don't let try-hards make you think you need 2800 power or whatever to play. That's just the no-lifers. Lots of guilds are just there to easily meet up and tackle challenges. My guild is semi-hardcore and they let like 20 newbs in. Hell, I didn't make level 50 until 10 days into the game. I switched weapons and went from 2200 down to 1800. No one booted me.

There's the propagation of this Impostor Syndrome where you have to be a Perfectionist and do everything right, an Expert so you can stay competitive, or Superhuman to even have a chance.

None of that ♥♥♥♥ is true.

when the said boss is a dungeon boss, it does
and as for not P2W?
have you checked the Auction house?
you can buy ACTUAL weapons for Lucent, and believe me the top 5-10 guild of EVERY server will have PLENTY off people shelling out that much money to stay relevant
Sadly NCsoft/Amazon fked up, they could of all together blocked selling ALL weapons/armor and just let infusions be sold and Whaling would be MUCH weaker at this stage

You buy blueprints for level 0 weapons. Which are worse than the previous rarity's level 6. You still have to have items, you still gotta grind the mats, and you still have to put in effort to get the weapon up and running.

There are 3 main types of items to make an item good. The pay to win blueprint. The grind to build untradable item. And the craft to improve tokens.

So even buying the weapon doesn't give you an edge. That's also based on the idea that one has to follow a Meta to succeed. Bad news is that there are many types of builds and metas. Our guild leader is still using Greens as he grinds out purples. Just skipping Blue all together. His power 2400.

This is what exactly will happen in ashes of creation too . It is still in alpha but many guilds are forming alliances which will in turn make that game a clone of this one

No lol, You can buy World Boss Weapons which are in vast majority off Cases the BEST, it will be worse when Archboss'es start showing up. and save your leader some time best way to transfer to purple is get blue's get them +9 get traits to 3/3 than infuse to get +6purple with a high blessing value
khazad_doom Oct 18, 2024 @ 10:50pm
so its basically a lame domination simulator?
Big Boss Oct 18, 2024 @ 10:52pm
Even if some dudes can buy the best weapons, so what? Don't PvP then? I mean someone would have ground it out even without WoW gold purchasing. I mean I suck at PvP, I mostly just support out DPS dude so he can knock one dude out before I die in a fire.

I guess the question is: so what? How does that affect you? How will that change your gameplay?

I can end here actually, grab some lucents and go visit the auction house, pick a weapon that you would like with the lucent that you can afford. There's stats and damage on it. You can grab a green, a blue and a purple want if you would like. Do you know what is the meaning of Pay-To-Win ?

more off a giant headache, games graphics are nice, boss mechanics are fun, game is engaging, its like NCsoft did this on purpose lol Perfection ruined by greed the moment u start going pass 2600 u start feeling the grip on your ressources tightening, u can run as many dungeons, cant get enough anything going your forced waiting for the next day, until u try getting some sneaky chests in Saurodoma, but the chests are timed you gotta hold them a while before getting access to its contents, odds are you will get killed before even getting that chest, so your forced to wait or swipe for lucent to BUY what u need from the auction house just to up your score (at this point your in full purples and adding traits)

endgame content is Forced PvP, so how does it affect us? well it just does lol, u want that endgame upgrade? yeah that world boss drops it...oh btw its Conflict (pvp) get there and top guilds who probably dont need it anymore will camp it, kill you and your guilds, get the loot and sell it for Lucent

hell our servers top 5 guilds are all the same guild with slightly different names xD

Some of the gear that you need drops on world bosses (raid bosses if you prefer) and allied guilds CAN FORCE it into PVP mode to prevent you from upgrading. Even if you don't want to PVP, people force you into it.
Big Boss Oct 18, 2024 @ 11:02pm
I honestly don't think you guys even tried to play. Just a rage boner to scream on the forums. Like the screaming about forced pvp and stuff. The eclipse power lasts 10 minutes, requires a special guild currency and have a 12 hour cool down. And only a single dude on the whole server can use it.

I have no clue wtf you guys are raging about. Sounds like elitist garbo
