Good luck soloing a Worldboss dude.
Play stardew vally co-op and you'll find a very different attitude of players. Where as if you play any Moba that locks you into a match for 30 minutes, you'll have a lot of frustrated players when others either make mistakes, don't play the way others want, or sometimes straight up troll.
T&L's systems are designed for the community to hate each other. That way there is less energy spent on criticising the game's flaws and predatory practices.
Especially in ones that encourage the whole "Be a part of the Borg (massive guilds) or be negligible garbage" approach via GvG/ZvZ design.
But it shouldn't come as a shock with how increasingly narcissistic people have been getting over the years (I blame social media...especially *%&$ like TikTok).
When you matchmake in co-op dungeons try to keep a positive attitude ask if people know the mechanics, if there is someone being aggressive in luring mobs that isn't the tank let them die it will teach them not to do this. You can't lead that which does not want to be lead.
Remember to always keep a positive mindeset, if you allow the actions of others to affect you negatively you become the problem, report players who troll without engaging with them.
When there is no barrier to entry, people start to see what buttons and levers they can push.
Make a game cost $10 to play per month and have bannable play behavior offenses, and people play on the straight and narrow, knowing they can lose it all if they misbehave.
Make a game cost $0 and you can screw around all you want, get banned, make 4 more fake steam accounts, who cares. Nothing holds you back from botting, breaking TOS, training people with impunity. Ninja loot that nodrop item from the raid chest just to piss people off, then delete that account just to spite them, no one can stop you and it's free!
its the community that makes it alive
so
of course it will be the community killing it
shocker ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is the Problem and its created by intention .... and thats why we dont have a second "Wow/Everquest/FinalFantasy" anymore ... every new mmo for 10 - 15 years is created for the own doom but as a major cash grab for the publisher.
I didnt even mention PvP, this was just about the PvE part. The thing is you are right but thats lead to just one Option in the end, leave and uninstall ...
Most players know therse issues but they dont complain or do anything against this they just give up and move to the next mmo just to get served the same BS ... cause we let "them win" all the time ... "Everything that the Evil needs to win, is that the Good looks away"
Thats exactly why we have the same Struggle everywere in RL and in any Virtuell world ... "as long as it doesnt hit me, I dont care" ...
Any of these behavings were reasons to bann them 10 - 20 years ago ... today you can be an absolut a-hole and nothing happens, and you cant even do something against for yourself ....
