Gear and PVP

Question,

yesterday i had bad experience with pVp. i just started PVPing in TL, and at the same time stopped. Because i don't get it. My current gear is 2200 i think, i i got, actually got almost 1 shot-ed. A SwordShield guy gave me first 4000 DMG then second hit around same. This all happened under 1 second. I was "WTF".

Is there something i dont know?

you need to max out defense traits and have some str for hp.

Resistances, so game has 3 types of defenses Range, Magic, Melee, you cant be strong in all 3 of them. 2k+ is a normal defense score.

if you want to hit hard you need a high Hit & heavy attack chance.

you need PvP items like everyother mmo game. Get some defence items u will be good

depending on your class
you need to stack evasions or endurance

i was told 800 is a limit for endurance so you dont sacrifice too much other things
as for evasion - stack as much as possible otherwise its completely useless


i pvp´ed on my gs sns with about 600+ endurances and it was a decent experience without getting 1 shot in arena as well as dominion events (blue gear 2700 combat score )

You need to work on your armor. Defense in this game is a flat damage reduction, so having 3000 defense means you stop 3000 damage. You're still going to get wrecked because some classes can hit for like 8k+ but you'll at least be able to mitigate some of it.

If that makes you stop playing the game, I suggest going on with that choice. The people in this game, especially in PVP, will blow you up.

If you can't stomach that fact, it would be safe to assume this game is not for you oooor stick to PVE.

2200 gear score is pretty terrible though. You probably fought someone with pvp gear and stats that might have a score around 3k. Instead of giving up, just gear up.
