Gear up, PVP, endgame
Hi, the game seems promising, and I really enjoyed the leveling, but once I reached level 50, I honestly found it difficult to appreciate it anymore.

**PvP:**
The PvP is really bad; it’s just a spam of CC with no sense. Moreover, the arenas are visually unappealing—they look more like a setting from something like Star Wars or similar, which is completely off-theme for the game. Additionally, the fact that you resurrect (not even fully healed lol) and immediately re-enter the arena makes everything feel even more random and pointless. Why should I bother killing someone if, after not even 10 seconds, I find them full health behind me? it's a brawl

**Gear:**
I can accept that it might be pay-to-win; I don’t mind if someone pays to get what I have through gameplay, but I should be able to do the same just by playing. Seriously, just to understand how Traits work seems to require a degree in engineering. The same goes for figuring out how to farm the things you need (I still don’t completely understand it, and I don’t want to spend two hours on YouTube figuring out how to equip items without wasting resources—I want to PLAY). MMOs have always been complicated in this regard, but I think this one has gone over the line. If you're a perfectionist and want to do things right, you’ll find it very difficult. Of course, those with large guilds or who pay will always have an advantage, but in my opinion, the gap is obscenely large. It’s fine to have the same gear for both PvP and PvE, but in PvP, skill should matter, not gear. If you don’t want to give out equipment through PvP, then you need to make it easy for everyone to acquire it because, in the endgame, everyone should be at the same level; otherwise, it turns into bullying, not PvP.

I just want to clarify that I’ve played PvP in WoW for several years and I understand these games pretty well, yet I’m still finding it difficult to equip my character when it should be one of the most enjoyable aspects of this type of game. From what I’ve heard, this is a PvP-focused game, but to me, it seems like the combat is still a work in progress. When, in 2 or 3 months, people have fully developed Traits and gear, what should casual players even play for?

Upgrading gear mechanic is not that hard.

1) Add new trait = SAME item with the trait you want
2) Change trait for the one you want = need 2 type of gems the blue ones and the purple ones, I don't remember the names sorry.
3) Upgrade trait level = ANY item or trait (sold in the AH) that has the trait you want to improve. Depending on the rarity the success % varies. Petty system = if you fail you get more chance for the next roll.

So yes, as you can imagine, you need MANY of the same item/traits to fully upgrade gear. Of course if you spend money, and this is the P2W aspect, you can buy all traits for your piece of gear from the AH and roll over and over.

It's more about being in a big guild that actively pvps. The arena is garbage

Thanks for the explanation, but the main problem isn't learning how to upgrade the gear; it's that to get those pieces, you have to repeat the same dungeon over and over, which is boring. And someone who enjoys PVP is unlikely to appreciate PVE content, so the repetitiveness makes it even worse

Traits are not hard, just poorly explained (not explained at all). If you sell drops for lucent you can fully trait your character like any spender, just takes longer.

this game is nice till u hit 50, then everyone should deinstall it.

Finding gear and useful loot, is simply a big issue in all these free to play cash shop games.
They deliberately make loot in general that scares that you want to use their cash shop.
But guess what, loot is one of the most important factor in any mmorpg that keeps players interested.
Grinding mobs turns into a boring pointless task without interesting loot.
It's "bad" after 50, the gear score increasing part, because there's nothing else left from there on and they want to keep an illusion of endless content; and that's nothing else but time gates and repeating same things over and over.

Now if anyone enjoys rinse and repeat "content", there it is, have fun. I do, for a while, but I'm sure will quit it soon. Not really interested in getting high gear score in any game, I can't see that as a valid content.

I expected some fun solo content, but stuff with better loot requires a group. PvP is Zerg vs. Zerg, if you like that, or ZvP if fool enough to go into that solo. Group content is quite toxic with randoms, just as expected. I was lucky finding good groups, but still was a rushing though, as quick as possible, so there was no fun at all doing them.

In the end it's just as expected. Too bad that these games are just copy paste of each other. Play one and you played them all.

The issue with end game progression is it's fully catered to buying lucent.
Good luck finding 13 purples with the right traits to fully upgrade just 1 gear slot. lol
9 gear slots is 117 purples with the right traits?
I doubt anyone can progress without using lucent.
Dumb game design disguised in "free to play" vomit title.

Why should anyone have to do all of that without using the AH? you are imposing a dumb restriction on yourself and calling it a design flaw

That's the intend of the game, for you to frustrate and end up spending money. Some will quit during that process for sure. I've ran Tyrant's island about 30 times already, I still don't have my bow. There is an alternative to craft 2 salvation "things", and craft it but still, you need 120 tokens, 20 from each dungeon, that's 5 times each dungeon. You can run 3 dungeons per day. Once you get that piece of gear you want then u need to upgrade, then you remember you need 13 of those, so yeah, PVP is for whales. F2P are the catle that keeps the whales entertained, the issue is that once the F2P start leaving, the whales don't have anyone to feed from so they also move on and the game... well... dies.

Other MMOs don't require you to use the AH to progress at a reasonable pace.

In addition, the AH is primarily a premium feature. You "can" get lucent for "free", but this is the WoW token argument again. Either spend all your time on the game in order to progress, or fall behind. AH prices will fall over time, meaning you'll get less lucent per extraction stone. And those stones aren't exactly raining as loot.

Lucky drops to propel your advancement, an option to spend real money to cover poor luck, limited ways to profit, a house that always wins with a 22% tax, like the game is clearly a casino. Some players get lucky or find ways to profit from others at the table. Others cry the blues and then mortgage their house to pay for upgrades. Meanwhile, the competitive spectrum heavily encourages you to whale so you can own a castle and make a million lucent a week.

This games foundation is broken from the start , it's impossible to gear at a steady pace without buying lucent , drops are scarce and good luck trying to make enough lucent to fully trait purples before tier 2 comes.

Game is visually stunning and the open world is amazing but all the mechanics , gearing and the PvP core is rotten.

I can understand now why it failed in KR after 1 year of release.
