Start New Character or Level New Weapons?

I've watched many videos and visited many sites about this question but the contradictions are about even.

I'm not really rushing to 50 but I don't want to take forever and I don't want to waste the time I've already invested.

Which should I do and if possible let me know why one is better than the other. Thank you!

If you can get the purple drops, then it's as simple as getting purple upgrade scrolls and grinding contracts to get exp for the weapon.

It's a terrible grind for the exp, but if you're not that far along on your main weapons you can get level 6-7 on a weapon in 3 days or so.

The real grind is if you've already leveled your weapons lvl 10+ then that is a pain... Also the skill scrolls, that would be insane grind to level the skills. I don't know of any easy way to get scrolls

My character is lvl 30 and I have 2 Blue weapons of Resistance (lvls 2 and 5).

My armour and accessories are max green except for the 2 Blue rings.

I have a tank spec near 2200gs and its much easier to roll e new char with battleplass to uprade abilities, armor and weapons.

There is no real choice.
If you choose 2 weapon to fight with it its really take a long time to uprade to a new one.
You must skill again weapon skill, armor and abilities.

Absolut grindy and unfriendly to play more weapons...
