Got NW, played for a while. Game didn't hook me. Too much PVP-wise.
Now the foreveralone NW PVP players come to TL to cry for meat.
True.. agree with how NW graphics and whole gameplay feel.. i did also login for a short moment just to check if they improved it, but nope.. same old poop and people in chat complaining how bad the game is (still same issues), so i just logged off.
TnL is clearly superior and yes, it has currently the best graphics in general out of mmo games, almost weird how good the performance is (near perfect) when thinking about it. While the "old kings" WoW and FFXIV look like Playstation 2 games from 2004. They should update to this decade.. who wants to play a game that looks like Lego game? I do personally enjoy Guild Wars 2 though.. and it looks ancient and dated also, so if would get graphical update on it also, i'd be a happy gamer since it has style and things on it that i like a lot and WvW mode is giga fun. TnL really needs an instanced "keep siege open world pvp mode" where people can go, go solo or in groups in a full map with action hot spots.
So TnL could really use it's own Cyrodiil (from ESO) or WvW mode from GW2 equivalent. Not only timed pvp, but actual zone/map made for it that would be own isolated map so full pve andies would not complain about but would let us enjoy pvp there 24/7, on top of what we got now. More options always the better, right? :)
TnL has actual potential to stay in the market for sure and find a steady player base that i again estimate to become eventually stable at somewhere along the lines of 100k concurrent players across platforms, that would mean the game would be for sure top5 mmo and very profitable for NCSoft & AGS.. because visually it looks great, so the more time passes and the more they get nice cosmetics and random cool stuff to sell, the more they make money, since let's be honest, many are lazy to farm Lucent like some of us no-lifers lol, but they will just spend real money. But acquiring Lucent for free with just time and farming things to sell has been made easy also. Game has quite decently balanced economy what comes to that. Of course, bots will lower some Lucent values.. unless they can root them out enough. We shall see.
New competitive MMO on the market is what makes whole MMO market better, competition is exactly what it needs. Makes also the "old kings" hopefully look at their Lego-looking own games in embarrassment and do something about it to come to this decade in graphics also. So win-win. Now no one has excuses of "game looks like this so it performs well" when game can look stunning like TnL and perform smooth like single player game with perfect performance.
