Games just need a similar system to Black Desert Online, where its impossible to trade with other players directly and the market prices are decided by devs. No bots in BDO.
I personally did not play this game because of lack of boob slider and no skimpy gear. It's a Korean dev and even they are going woke with this. But hearing about the bots, its for certain a no from me.
Literally every mmo in existence has bots and botters in it, all the way back from Everquest and runescape days till now, especially in the most popular MMO's, FF14, WoW, Runescape, GW2, etc. You can't stop botters, and making a dumb auction house where people trade using paid currency is just bringing it back to horrible Diablo 3 AH days. People will bot, get lucent on these botted accounts, and sell the accounts. It also removes a large amount of paid for currency from the economy which would normally be circulating around, as these accounts eventually get banned.
They tried to limit the amount of botting by restricting the AH to requiring level 40 to access, but leveling is pretty quick. They should increase level requirement to 50, so botters need to level entire accounts essentially through the entire MSQ without getting caught, and also gives anti cheat more time to detect them.
Unfortunately bot bans always comes in waves, and is never instant upon detection. They should just automatically ban these bots as soon as they are detected. Any account online for more than 8 hours should automatically be flagged as suspicious and tracked.
Those games didn't F up the auction house and restricted trading and farming to "prevent botting" though
Fact lol, don't be in a group or farming with bots
If they want to attack my target when i'm solo. That's on them I think. Like when people come help you kill a target. No difference really when you think about it.
So people like myself that work from home and are on 24/7 since i play while I'm at work you would get us banned just because we play a lot? No that is not the solution the solution is flagging accounts that have names that are jumbled letter & numbers to be watched then when its clear they are running exact same paths over and over for 8+ hours without stopping to go pee or grab a drink this is a clear indication that they are a bot.
Then insta ban no waiting to ban in waves we live in 2024 almost 2025 there should be no waiting to get them removed and everything they have gathered removed from the game. They currently are ruining the game with the massive spike in materials that would otherwise not be there if it wasnt for them.
