Oof, mmos or just multiplayer games ? Because P2W products in general always dies. Some survive well enough like warframe or path of exile. Nowadays players remain solo in multiplayer unless it's forced like T&L.
Usually p2w is not a big issue if the game still takes skill to play, with T&L the skill ceiling is much lower and the gear is all you need to win ( unless you play the game for the first time, but even then with full t1 and traits, you can win vs anyone non full t1 and traits :))
Also to get the t1 gear you need to perform well during the bosses... Good luck with that unless you have a top gear group, they will almost always get the drop, so if you dont pay you are at a huge disadvantage even in pve...
It will become even more noticeable when archboss gear and then T2 comes...
Anyway, MMO's used to be social with more often than not bad gamplay due to limitations of that time
Nowdays MMO's aren't social and most of them this one included still uses the bad gameplay

Guild Wars 2 is very social, in fact you can join others for PvP and PvE, without the need to form a group or guild, you help each other during battles, even to indicate the right path in a dungeon (they did it with me and I did it with others), above all there is no vote kick, I have not played it anymore (account completely deleted) exclusively because I suffered severe bullying from the official forum moderators.
Except for raids, if you need to do it you must pay to get carried or copy past your achievement. I never did any raids because of that, a shame i would have loved trying these at least once.
It's a fact that I never considered because I wasn't in a guild and therefore it didn't interest me. How much did it cost?
p2w = more gear = t1 or t2 = RangedEva/MeleeEva/MagicEva = More damage = more absortion = win.
Bots= Lower price in AH, fp2 players no win lucents, p2w players buy low cost items = p2w players win.
