I find it freakin absurd that I am REQUIRED to murder in order to obtain paper. Am I the only one? Are you kidding me? I can buy Sterllarite and I can buy rare ink but paper is apparently so precious that only killing others obtains it. That is STUPID!!!!!!!!!

You can literally buy blue parchment and then turn it into purple parchment through the contract coin vendor. I just dont understand your sentiment because majority of the actually important purple materials other than enchanted ink(because it cannot be obtained any other way) is obtained through farming. Maybe you just arent quite deep enough to realize that yet i guess. Just try to keep in mind that A LOT of the game seems pretty stupid at first and then you keep digging and thinking until it clicks why.

Most of it boils down to keep the market in check. If you gave ink/paper more commonly, 3 dungeons per day, etc. Itd all hurt the market prices of things drastically

Forgot to mention as well in case you arent there yet. You can get the parchment in absurd quantity by farming open world abyss dungeons with a group. Those places are also how you obtain like 75% of gear in the game so definitely get familiar with them. Majority of end game grinding is doing these open world dungeons and then grinding other content to gain more abyssal tokens to spend. It all loops into each other to form a pretty good but linear cycle

Blue paper. When you select a contract via a Contract Provider, you can choose 1 then you have the option to refresh which costs nothing. You want to pick something, then refresh and repeat till you get a contract for 33 papers or a purple bag. Usually i can get 150-300 papers a day just by doing this.

Imagine to have to farm crabs for hours for a few basic pinch of salt that is needed in many cooking recipes. Lot of unnecessary bs farm is in this game. They have magic, but cannot get salt easier.

do contracts gives u paper alot in those and if u upgrade paper from green to blue to purple and disolve is purple blue green and then make the books for passive/ active skills

I use the star shop (annual pass) to buy salt. The Amitoi quests are also a decent source. That said, the people of Throne and Liberty must be vulnerable to high blood pressure. They use WAY too much salt.
