Fishing
This has got to be the worst mechanics for anything i've ever played ever. They need to fix asap. Like what is the literal f***.

What seem to be the problem casual, you press and hold left if fish going right and vice versa. Press Q when the fish bites to decrease its stamina. That's it.

I have watched videos and have done exactly pulling the opposite direction not letting green bar disappear. Sometimes you get somewhere then snap it shouldnt be this hard.

You fail in the beginning, but you still leveling fishing up so should get better, you can get green fishing rod for free by going through main story quests, then buy blue rod from rare drops of bags you fish out.

Alright thanks ill give it another try. I played new world before this and the fishing in that was much much better imo.

Fishing is the best, though heavy sacks are another story XD

Also try only using 1/2 to 3/4 of your green bar before releasing, i seam to have better luck that way.

You dont get the green for free. You have to fish with grey to get "Nature's jade" to upgrade to green. Natures jade is rng from small and heavy sacks coming from fishing!

Fishing is kinda random, if the fish chooses to go only one direction from the start, it is basicaly over for you unless it's really easy fish.

IKR it's terrible what helped me a little is to go to settings find the fishing camera that's default on, and turn that off. - That way it easier to see if the fish goes to the left or right.

When the top of the bar goes partially red you press both A+D to pull that in then continue fighting the fish.

Sometimes the animation of going left or right can be a bit off, instead watch the meter if it stops going down press the opposite direction as soon as it stops going done switch to the opposite direction etc etc

I think where you fish matters too. you might be hooking higher level fish then you are capable of actually reeling in. When I started fishing I went straight to the sea and it was 50 50 whether I felt I had a chance or not, then I found a little lake and could catch pratically every fish I hooked

Okay I understood, you can basically catch it without Q. But with Q it's easier, but you have to hit it on time. Also, I found out that I was not looking at my own strength correctly and that's why I failed so many times. I fish really well now and almost level 5 yey.

also keep in mind its not just pulling the opposite way of the fish all the time, once the fish wanders too far left or right you get the red dot, if it starts swimming back to the center you want to pull in the same direction to get it as close to the center as you can before pulling it back again
