This game will live a slow death
I'm only saying this due to the fact we have the worst loot system in a RPG. Dungeons dont have incentives for important roles. Basically a Diablo Immortal clone that will suffer the same fate once the honeymoon phase is over. The big dip in players will happen when OSRS leagues start in November plus POE 2 will cause a big dip too i feel. Only say that due to i see alot of people mention OSRS in chat. You also have the Devs being disconnected with the gaming community. Reason i say that is they left two leveling dungeons broken for a week and making their weekly maintenance on a weekend. The whole energy system they have to limit play will not let this game live a long life. The guild wars just like in Diablo Immortal will just be Whales vs Whales and the F2P people will just move on once they notice all the PVP is waighted more towards the whales. Its a fun game just too monitized and P2W. Plus theres already a ton of bots running rampant and with it starting this early how long til the AH is filled with all bot sales?

You don't need to play pvp. Same as I do because pvp in this game especially as a tank is a awful due to the fact that I am stunned for like 20 sec tanking all the dmg and then die.
Tanks need a stun break ability to be useful in pvp ( not talking about arena pvp)

I dont think this game will die soon. There is alot to do in PvE. And the Grind can be rough but that's an MMORPG thing.

What the should change imo is that you should he able to craft purple items it is almost impossible because you can't obtain the "blueprint" for it.

I think when they Polish the game then it will be a great mmo.

New World was way worse on launch. Servers died ever day at peek time for weeks.
Long login queues.
4 times there was a dupe problem.
Bugs took ages to be fixed.
Balancing was not a thing.
Dungeons we're horrible designed.

Don't get me wrong. Thrones and liberty has also it issues but New World was way worse

thats whats happening people are comparing this to new worlds but once this whole "New worlds comparison" dies off nothing will keep players logging in. The whales will get bored since the bots will ruin the economy and run off the PVE F2P. Im fine with weekly maintenance just not on the weekends when thats the bulk of mine and alot of people's play time. Tanks and Healers need alot of love right now and if thats not fixed soon there will be a drought of healers and tanks and people will leave then since they can do anything since everyone will want to run dps to get a chance at loot.

well any mmorpg that came after WoW is going to have the "drain" happen. it's called competition. players, or rather mmorpg players, have tasted better ideas, better mechanics, better treatment. as soon as developers make another option, the market would and have split. the pie just gets smaller and smaller every day.

what gets me is all the good loot is perfomance based, so if you dont swipe your losing alot of time as your going to wipe more in dungons and miss out on your loot chances becayse even if you pass, but died to one of the many 1 hit mechs you dont get a opertunity for epic loot further holding you back same with world bosses ect. and there fix for this bullshtit is just give you a free epic every week, but doubt that keeps ppl happy the fun part of mmo's is looting and it goes away in the late game in a big way so yeah games on life support send elp amazon

I will say this is better than New World, better everything but it's hard to judge because everytime I try to play lately the server gets shut down. NW had a serious bot problem too and they never did anything about that. The "Game" isnt the issue, the studio being Amazon is the issue.

i do agree but with the current system even if amazon wasnt the studio to bring it over it would still be a phone game ported over to PC. I like the whole guild wars and top guild runs the server but not when its ran by RWT through auction house and bought power.

loot drop is fubar . and the missing rare grade blueprint in drop list making it more fubar

not being handed to people just like candy but just have it fair for everyone not just the top 10 percent in DPS can have a chance at loot, DPS based loot will make it where tanks and healers wont be a role due to everyone wants the loot so theyll just bring their DPS setup....just setting this game up for failure....but when you have desirable loot that casuals cant get unless they get lucky somewhere else and trade for it or buy it for a huge price is setting up the economy for greedy guilds and bots
The games reward mechanics suck.

1. I should be able to infinitely farm dungeons for loot
2. Only large dungeons like raids should have a weekly lockout. This is common mechanic for MMO's.
3. All the open world events are competitive. This is to make you feel like you need to spend money to get stronger, so you can be able to claim a top placement in these events for rewards no one else can get. This should be changed to milestone based rewards, requiring you to reach x milestone to get x reward, and the milestone should be achievable by anyone with decent gear and a decent build. These should be treated as a single team based event, where any hit on anything automatically gives you credit for the kill, and thus a drop when the enemy is killed, if one drops at all.
4. Not really a fan of top guilds essentially being able to maintain ownership of specific rewards. This kills games, like New World which everyone likes to bring up. Im sorry im not dropping a thousand, or 10s of thousands of dollars just to be in a top guild, or the best guild, and demolish my competition, only for all that money to be wasted when a new tier or new gear comes out.

I wish there was super rare items that dropped from every enemy in the game, even in the open world. So maybe a wolf drops a really good wolf crossbow that cant be crafted, and you farm all day every day to get it because its as strong as something at end game. Maybe you go farm undead for an undead unique ring which gives +10 to all stats. Maybe you go to the tower thing with multiple floors, and completing all floors gives you a unique amulet which gives +5 levels to all skills. MMO's typically have some sort of grind mechanic for extremely rare drops, and these also generate both an in game economy, and real money economy, trading items for the paid currency, which creates an endless cycle of growth as long as players are still interested in your game, and an endless every growing grind which players can do, either to sell items to get their next upgrade, or to sell and save for a future update, and so on.

i like your way of thinking i do like the whole milestone thing.....basically an achievment diary with rewards for completing certain tasks. I understand there needs to be compition for the loot since this is a comp type of game but i thought that was the point of conflict WB. Now peace bosses have a dps style loot system and it will probably be the death of this game. People understand this is a free game but the time valued isnt felt with the current loot system it needs a change fast
