This game is not solo friendly at all

After 50 hours I will come back to WoW, because you can enjoy it much more in solo than this game.

Do not get me wrong. Game is really beatufiul, plays really well, performance is awesome.

But what you can do as a solo player are contracts and dungeons. It is fun. For sure.

But the contracts in the open world dungeons you cannot do anything in solo. And in solo world content it is also too hard. For me as a tank is unplayable because the loot is DPS based. And there are so many people so I will get every 10th mob only.

Anyway. Positive review for sure. Game is nice. But it is really, really, REALLY grindy and almost unbeatable for a solo player.

I guess players like me will burn out really quick and game will start loosing players.

The P2W element did not bother me, because I'm a PvE player. Cannot imagine even go PvP against whales will +9 epics. Must be hell.

Real talk though, why would you even want to play an mmorpg solo, isn't the whole point of the mmo part to do things with others, isn't that just an rpg at that point, like yaknow a different type of game?

Who goes into an mmorpg and expects solo content, idk it just seems like a really weird asinine thing to want/expect to me.

I go through contracts and open world dungeons without any real issue solo as a tank (killing mobs in shadowed crypt solo as I type this), not sure what you're talking about in that regard.

Its an MMO brother... I understand it, im socially awkward myself and dont have the easiest of time talking to people, but its an MMO. A pvp focused one at that. You should try to take yourself back to gaming 10-15 years ago and find a casual guild with cool people that you enjoy interacting with.
Some of my favorite gaming moments so far is in old runescape when they first came out with the clan citadels, the guilds in this are kind of similar in a simplified way. Gaining guild xp, contracts with group progression, big guild bosses you can kill each week. Depending on the people, these could be cool celebrated events

Whatever f*c*s a solitary player is the beauty of this game, he can't escape, he knows he can only play one part but he will continue to do so.

You can easily play this game as a solo as long as you're not opposed to creating parties. It's pretty obvious you can't have the best in slot stuff or tackle group content without a group. Drops are party contribution based, so while the loot has a drop chance, a weighted roll is based on each parties contribution, and once a party has been selected for that specific item, another roll determines who in the party gets it. That's pretty fair no matter which role in the party you play.

Can't get a certain drop from a field/world boss? You can farm dungeons or even open dungeons to make the lucent you need to buy their items. I've made 5k lucent, that's $100 by just playing the game.

Loot is not DPS based. I play a full tank myself and I already got rare drops.

Easy solution. Be in a guild that distributes loot properly. There's settings so you can easily raffle off items to people who actually need it in the guild rather than just who it dropped for

I am confused, why would you play an MMO solo? They are community based games, hence the acronym.........This is as confusing as the posts where ppl complain about the bugs the games has, then complain that they are patching the game.....

maybe he means pvp? this game seems to have centered pvp around guilds. there is the secret dungeon that is only soloable. raids obviously no one should be able to solo, that defeats the purpose.

have a pvpve would be nice. the pvp with monster killing isnt really what i would call pvpve..
i dunno what op means otherwise, ive been plenty able to solo some of the dungeons, with my staff/bow combo and im not even max level yet wearing blues.

the "dungeons" i havent had any issuse again with staff/bow soloing.

People come to strange conclusions when playing MMOs, that the game is not solo... is it an MMO after all? or a single player game?
