Reached 3400 CP as full F2P and today I quit!
Before I begin, I'm not mad or sad for anything, I just simply didn't want to play anymore. If you are reading this and you actually want an honest opinion about the game not just troll opinions like "garbage, p2w, best game" etc, i promise you'll be getting it by reading this. It's a long post though!

Is the game pay to win?
It is pay to skip, but actually the real meaning of pay to skip. These days, most mmo devs took advantage of pay to skip method and implemented into their games. That means, everything you get in shop is also obtainable in the game itself, but many devs making it so these are huge grind or almost not possible to reach paying users for a year or two. This is not pay to skip, this is pay to win method. However in T&L global, they actually made it pay to skip nothing else. You can easily reach paying people by playing the game, there is also one currency in the game which is called Lucent. You can obtain this by selling stuff on AH and boost yourself with it, there is no power up items on SHOP, only skins which is enough for it to be pay to skip!

I've personally reached 3400 CP with a good build and spending on good and expensive traits such as "skill boost power, heavy, hit, crit chances for both weapons, max health for accesories etc" This is me only doing dailies and weeklies since day 1 and never grind on open world mobs for 0.1 chance or whatever, I simply done my daily and weeklies then wait for my guild's prime time. This is also me who did not know how AH worked when i start playing the game. I didn't watch any video before release, i went completely blind. I spent a lot of times in mmos, I simply understand most of their mechanics so i don't waste time watching them. Of course i made some mistakes by not knowing but it was fine. If i knew how AH worked, I would take advtange of the early market like others to boost myself even more probably. So no, in my opinion T&L uses pay to skip method which is very light, by playing the game and being patiance, you can easily reach paying people.

Is it actually worth playing?

T&L brings a different approach to modern MMO universe. Many of the modern mmos release in a way of modernized controls, targeting system, gameplay and being pve focused, T&L however brings us an old school type of mmorpg in a very modern graphics and being heavily guild focused pvp rather than pve. I've seen many people saying there is nothing old school about it, i think these people are zoomers so they don't understand. T&L is actually old school, all controls, combat, guild pvp, castle pvp, if you are a person who played old school mmos back in the day such as "lineage 2, silkroad online, knight online and many more i can't think of right now, you'll know T&L is similar to those games very much. And as a person who likes PVE more, this was very welcoming for me. Focusing on mass pvp for the first time in a very long time was actually addicting, my guild was pvp only and all those shot calling during pvp via teamspeak and discord, i missed this feeling so this game managed to capture me because of this. If you really want that approach, you really want to fight with your guild while leaders shot calling, it is definetely worth it. However if you are not into one of these and your mind is already set on being able to play solo and enjoy the game that way, or you want pve only. I advise you to not waste any time, you'll 100% quit the game sooner or later. There is no content for you in the game even tho they are making adjusments and making a bit more solo friendly. It will not work, you are missing the whole concept by going solo and doing pve only.

Reason why I quit the game

I was already thinking about it because the pvp become very boring for me, first days were awesome and it was fun but it got boring real quick. We were in a server where we dominated it and then with everyone's vote, we decided to transfer to an another realm full of competitive guilds to enjoy the game because we were doing nothing other than killing randoms. We transfered, I thought it will be fun now because it will be hard, there will be massive pvps and there was. There were like thousand of people in pvp boss zone, it was fun for a while fighting against them but unfortunately it didn't capture me at all. And i had to trip to another city and told my guild to replace me if i can't come back in a few days which they did and they should because they are actively recruiting people to fight againts these big zerks. I could easily get into the same guild when i came back or join an another but i simply decided to drop the game instead since i don't get fun anymore.

Every day, you login and do the same type of dailies over and over again like a robot whos assigned to one job and do that every single day. And since I was f2p, I was being forced to do those, a paying person can easily skip those if they want. But as a f2p, you must do them and burn your tokens. I understand every mmo is repeating but this one giving you the same task without feeling anything different and just being the same ♥♥♥♥ every single day. And then guild primes, you do bosses, you fight in one zone since nobody could take it and it's just pure pvp but pvp gets stale as well every day same people, same pvp, same stuff. Gearing up, sure but for what? The game has no purpose other than gearing up for pvp which gets very unnoticable on mass pvp. Whoever has the highest number can easily crush others even if lower cp overall. I personally didn't care about Arena, and those who cared also got bored of it real quick. The game has no content or purpose other than doing the same mass pvp over and over again, at least in pve when there is hard content such as raids, or dungeons with increased difficulty just like m+ from wow gives you some purpose to gear up.

Overall, T&L was a good experience for me, i enjoyed it so far, but i basicly cannot take Korean mmo style anymore. It feels like a mobile mmorpg where they want you to be addicted to the game making you do the same ♥♥♥♥ every day like a robot. If you are into PVP way too much and don't care if it's the same pvp every day, you just want to pvp with your guild and of course don't mind the korean mmo style dailies, weeklies and limits, then this game is worth playing even by being pure f2p. However If you are into PvE mostly and solo content, don't waste your time even tho you enjoy it, you'll quit very soon.

Hope this helps if you are undecided about what to do!

i feel his way

doing everyday the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again :D

I mean the daylie quests are booring and completed in 5 - 10 minutes

The dungeons are not challenging at all.

If you have the boss weapons nothing change

Wow you make more dmg! But the dungeons are simple as before :D

Open world pvp is not really enjoyable. Big guilds will always dominate

Arena is Quiet fun :) and i enjoyed it more then the open world

I will give it a try withe tier 2 dungeons and the new pvp island

Tier 2? U know that means when u hover over ur co op dungeon tokens it says 1 , right? That means they will add a new LIMITED currency again for those tier 2 dungeons.... meaning u cannot use ur tier 1 dungeon tokens for those dungeons... O_O

As an F2P with two characters, 3200 and 3300, I managed to get accepted to a rank 1 guild in one of the servers. I find the encouragement to keep doing my daily work and upping the guild.

Part of the problem I see, given that one of my characters is in the lowbie guild, is expectations. One of the guilds I'm in is struggling hard, which in turn makes me have low activity or encourages me to keep doing the boring daily. Or even contest bosses because we turn into tombstones a lot.

Also, given that there are 400 players in the alliance, multiplying it by 2 if there is rivalry going on doesn't help the cause. If you are F2P trying to reach the top to be in a hardcore guild, it is difficult.

As a healer, the chances of getting into a hardcore guild are slightly higher. I get bombarded with whispers of invites and even lucent offers. LOL

If they won't add big updates every month or even faster, nor the guild duties keep the interest to log in daily, then its alright to feel its game over or pause the game until next huge updates are live. Its a game after all :)

Nah they messed up more things than they fixed. 6hours of maintenance and it took me 2hours of playing to figure out 3 new things that are broken, that weren't broken before lmao

Pay to skip is paying to win, they are the same thing.

And before anyone asks "what do they win", they win against players in PVP. That's the point. Paying to progress faster than other people lets you dominate Conflict and GvG and castle ownership, along with making tons of lucent in the process to recoup your spending.

No one cares about P2W in PVE. If someone wants to cheat in their singleplayer experience, mind your business, it doesn't impact you. In PVP, it does.
