I´m offtank and got dozens of worldboss-stuff already. Call it luck-account if you want.
I´ve also seen atleast 3 healer in the guild dropping staff.
And i´ve seen mid 40 players getting stuff when level 50 players have been on the boss too.
This info is just false and its spreading needs to stop.
its party contribution. Dps gives contribution to the party. healing gives contribution to the party. tanking gives contribution to the party. Just join a party and take your pills
Its just RNG. Im a DPS and never had a boss drop.
Its not a rumor it is true but that is not how it works at all..the highest contributor has a 5% higher chance to get the item, so lets say you have a 0.5% chance..now you get 5% on the 0.5% chance..which is not a lot but a small boost.
We literally have everything, interviews from the developer and creator confirming the rate and everything..
Like a sellable item from the outside world has a dropchance of 0.29%..
Or a purple item from the coop dungeon a 5% chance.
All those rates and how it works is literally out..from dataminers AND THE FKING GAME ITSELF, WHICH HAS BEEN CONFIRMED SO MANY TIMES BY THE GUYS WHO MADE THE GAME, just watch their interviews AND LISTEN.
Stop spreading false rumors..the biggest contributor gets a 5% boost..
but if there are 1000 players..and the rate is 0.01% with 1 item drop or two item drops..he only gets a 5% chance ONTO that 0.01%, so it wouldnt even be 0.02% but still be 0.01X%.

If you are alive and tanking or healing you get a healthy roll.
drops on world bosses & Archbosses are based on "contribution"
even the new patchnotes from today states that:
"Field Boss: Increased the rate of boss portal scaling to the amount of players participating, providing more instances to spread players between fights and increase individual chances to earn contribution rewards."
Contribution Rewards are the single drops, weapon, gears etc.
Which means that drops are going to those ALREADY geared, without exception.
This sounds like a massive cap.
like if one group did ~70% of boss health and died once to lose 70% of contribution (according to tico), it's pretty close to 50% contribution. they don't need to come back because loot would go to guild bank if set up for it.
i'm also curious if there's any 'first tag' bonus to contribution or any other exceptions. it'll be interesting to see what they'll post this coming week.
