Latest KR patch notes, if you are interested.
Game has lost more then half it's player base in under 2 months.
Game has a retention rate of -47% and dropping each day.
The real reason people are saying the game is dead however isn't because of the Player Count... even though that is part of it.
The real factor is simply the games overall systems.
- Real Money AH
- Limited Playtime each day because of Token systems.
- Unable to target farm specific items
- Lack Luster PVP and boring class builds.
There is more but these are the core factors that are causing people to see the carrot on the stick as a rotting waste of time.
I accepted that this game is all hype with no substance..... take a step back and take ANY aspect of this game and I can tell you another game that did it better 10 years ago.
In my server, our guild leader even disbanded our dominating alliance to form a new just to show some competition. Even "gave" away the castle.
They need to add some good milestones for casuals or crafting guilds. Having ONE guild dominate while three others do not will just result in fewer and fewer interest.
They legit need to add some merc system which you can easily join for big content. Castle siege? You are assigned to a group of 60 mercs and then the game starts a new group if more people queue for it.
and i'd even say that conflict bosses should be limited to parties. Like sure, if you want to give the loot to your guild theres the setting for it, but guild contribution incentivizes large scale zerging with little to not means of doing anything about it. The only alternative is bring a equally sized guild, which ain't really happening
Poe is not even an MMO, its like a more complex (but better) diablo game. I don't expect it to retain a lot of the people hyped up for it, simply because its a niche game which most certainly won't get too far into. But its funny reading here how its the game that will save everyone
I think some guilds already formed as a Merc.
The way I read it is as guilds as in actual guild not alliance guilds (unless I'm wrong). So nothing really changes with how zerg functions.
If I'm reading it correctly it forces Zerg Alliance guard dogs 5+ to actually tap the boss instead of preventing others from tapping it which pushes Big Alliance 5+ away. They need contribution or else they don't get loot.
75k players yesterday, game is def not dead lmao
Its a disguise NFT game. Most people just leave it running with scripts in the hopes of earning some pennies.
